Job Description Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Multi-Physician Vascular Surgery Practice in New Jersey Position Overview We are a well-established, growing vascular surgery practice in NEW JERSEY with multiple physicians, advanced ancillary services, and a strong regional reputation. We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the senior financial executive of the organization. This role will be a key strategic partner to the executive leadership, responsible for financial stewardship, operational insight, and long-term sustainability. The CFO will oversee all financial, accounting, revenue cycle, and strategic planning functions, while supporting growth initiatives, physician compensation models, and succession planning. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the managing partner (CEO), • Develop and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with clinical and operational goals, • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling, • Analyze profitability by service line, physician, and site of care, • Oversee accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting, • Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls, • Manage external relationships with CPA firms, auditors, banks, and legal counsel, • Oversee revenue cycle performance including billing, collections, denials, and AR Analyze payer contracts, reimbursement trends, and margin impact, • Support negotiations with commercial payers and evaluate value-based initiatives, • Maintain and refine physician compensation models (productivity, quality, ancillaries), • Model w/RVU-based and alternative compensation structures, • Partner with operations leadership on staffing, cost controls, and capital planning, • Evaluate financial performance of office-based labs, imaging, and ancillary services, • Support compliance with Stark, Anti-Kickback, and healthcare regulatory frameworks, • Assist with insurance, risk management, and contractual oversight, • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred), • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, • Prior experience in physician practice management, healthcare services, or MSO environment strongly preferred, • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare revenue cycle, physician compensation, and reimbursement, • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, • Senior leadership role with meaningful influence on practice direction, • Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience, • Opportunity to play a key role in long-term growth and succession planning Qualified candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter outlining relevant healthcare finance experience.
