Job Description The Social Media Producer leads the social strategy and content creation for NESN’s lifestyle programming, including Dining Playbook, Meet Boston, and New England Blueprint. This role is responsible for bringing each show to life across digital platforms through short-form video, photography, editing, copywriting, and audience engagement. You’ll create social-first content that grows our reach, builds community, and keeps our brands culturally relevant. The ideal candidate is creative, visually sharp, trend-aware, and passionate about turning great stories into standout digital content. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Content Creation & Platform Growth • Capture, edit, and publish social-first video and photo content across NESN’s lifestyle programming, • Produce short-form, platform-native content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.), • Write compelling, voice-driven captions optimized for engagement, • Stay ahead of trends, formats, and cultural moments to inform content strategy, • Attend shoots and events to capture behind-the-scenes and social-exclusive content, • Collaborate with hosts, producers, and editors to extend episodes into digital-first storytelling, • Contribute to segment ideation, shoot planning, and creative direction, • Plan and execute branded events from concept through post-event content coverage, • Actively engage with audiences across platforms to build community, • Support influencer, contributor, and partnership initiatives, • Help develop new digital activations, campaigns, and audience growth opportunities We believe in the potential within every individual. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in social media, digital content creation, or lifestyle/media marketing, • Strong proficiency in short-form video production, editing, and platform-native content (Reels, TikTok, etc.), • Experience capturing and producing social-first photography and visual assets, • Demonstrated ability to write engaging, voice-driven captions optimized for different platforms, • Deep fluency in social media trends, formats, audience behavior, and emerging content style, • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments, including on-site shoots and live events, • Strong creative judgment with an eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and brand alignment, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, • Experience tracking performance metrics, interpreting social KPIs, and applying insights to content strategy, • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative production team, • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and comfort in a dynamic, evolving environment, • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including shoots, events, nights, and occasional weekends, • Proficient with standard digital tools and able to quickly learn new platforms and workflows, • Alignment with NESN’s core values, including creativity, accountability, teamwork, and audience focus The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $72,000 annually. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
