Job Summary I am seeking a talented and creative remote Freelance Designer to collaborate with me on completing my project, 'The Best of the Last'. I’m looking for someone with strong technical and design expertise—particularly in typography, layout, and visual composition—who can help bring my vision to life while contributing fresh ideas. 'The Best of the Last’ is a satirical reimagination of a classic American high school yearbook- a fictional NYC school yearbook brought to life through my photography, design, and collages. It serves as both a platform for social commentary and a reflection on the NYC high school experience. Like a traditional yearbook, it includes 140 senior portraits of young people from across the city, along with 45 faculty and staff members. A 20-person school safety team highlights the overbearing NYPD presence I experienced while attending middle and high school in Brooklyn. Spanning 100 pages, the book includes superlatives, a current events section, clubs, and more. Duties • Develop cohesive typography throughout the book, • Refine, perfect and create page layouts, • Design the cover, • Color correct photographs to ensure consistency and quality, • Follow the established project timeline, • Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) to produce high-quality visual content, • Collaborate closely with me to interpret the project’s vision while contributing creative input Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic design and digital art, • Excellent sense of typography, layout, and color management, • Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of typesetting and photo editing, • Ability to take direction and also bring forward new ideas, • Passionate, reliable, and excited to collaborate on a creative project

Maintains a clear dish station including but not limited to chemicals, janitorial supplies, and health department standards and assists with deep cleaning schedule. Supports the team (Hospitality and Kitchen) whenever needed (e.g, call-outs, catering, etc.) Has intimate knowledge of Department of Health standards and uses them as a guide to keep kitchen spaces tidy, and to holds the team accountable.
