Job Description Job Overview In alignment with Gallaher Signature Living’s mission, values, and commitment to exceptional hospitality, the Concierge serves as the community’s front-of-house ambassador, setting the tone for an elevated, boutique living experience. This role is central to delivering a seamless, personalized, and welcoming environment while supporting resident experience, safety, and communication. The Concierge interacts with residents, families, guests, and vendors with discretion, warmth, and professionalism, operating in full compliance with California Title 22 regulations applicable to Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) and the policies governing Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC). This position is non-clinical in nature and does not include the provision of personal care services. Key Responsibilities • Greet residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a respectful, professional, and welcoming manner, • Serve as a point of contact for general inquiries, directions, and assistance, • Foster positive relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, • Support resident independence, dignity, and rights at all times, • Answer and route telephone calls; take and deliver accurate messages, • Monitor building access and follow visitor management and security procedures, • Maintain required sign-in logs, package logs, keys, and front desk documentation, • Communicate resident needs, concerns, or requests to appropriate departments promptly, • Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns and report observations according to community policy, • Respond to emergencies in accordance with established procedures, including contacting appropriate staff or emergency services, • Participate in emergency drills and follow disaster preparedness plans, • Comply with all applicable California Title 22 RCFE regulations and CCRC policies and procedures, • Protect resident rights, privacy, confidentiality, and dignity, • Act as a mandated reporter, immediately reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with Title 22 and community policy, • Maintain accurate documentation as required by regulation and community standards, • Perform duties within the defined scope of the Concierge role and refrain from providing personal care or clinical services, • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby environment, • Uphold community policies, service standards, and brand expectations, • Represent the community’s mission, values, and commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance Qualifications & Requirements • Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, or senior living, • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with older adults, families, and staff, • Ability to follow written policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, • Basic computer, phone, and documentation skills, • Experience working in an RCFE, CCRC, or regulated senior living environment preferred, • Familiarity with resident rights and mandated reporting requirements, • Bilingual abilities preferred, • Professional, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor, • Compassionate, patient, and observant, • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, • Able to remain calm and follow procedures in emergency situations, • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, • Must successfully pass all required background checks, health screenings, and immunization requirements in accordance with Company policy and applicable law and mandated by California Title 22.
