About The Role The firm is seeking a mid-level ERISA/Employee Benefits associate to join its national team. This group advises defense-side corporate clients on complex benefits, compliance, executive compensation, and ERISA-governed matters. Location is flexible across any participating office. Key Responsibilities In this ERISA-focused role, the associate will: • Advise employers on health and welfare benefit plans, including compliance with federal statutes and regulations such as ERISA, the ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA., • Support active ERISA and benefits matters with minimal supervision in a fast-paced defense-oriented practice., • Assist with retirement plans, executive compensation issues, and benefits-related transactional work., • Draft clear, business-oriented written guidance for sophisticated corporate clients., • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s national defense platform to deliver integrated service. Qualifications Ideal candidates will bring: • 4–7 years of ERISA/Employee Benefits experience, with demonstrated depth in health and welfare benefits., • Additional exposure to retirement plans and executive compensation is a plus., • The ability to step into ongoing matters quickly and manage work semi-independently., • Strong communication skills, polished writing abilities, and the judgment needed to advise defense-side clients., • A proactive, ownership-driven approach suited to a fast-moving national practice.
