Job Description Job Description: QAQC Manager Job Purpose Paragraph This position is responsible for leading and coordinating construction quality assurance and quality control activities from project startup through final closeout. The QAQC Manager plays a key role in implementing project-specific quality plans, verifying compliance with plans and specifications, managing inspection and testing documentation, and supporting field teams in meeting contract requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, audit-ready quality records, coordinating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and owner representatives, and identifying quality risks before they impact schedule, cost, safety, or client satisfaction. The QAQC Manager must ensure work is installed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, and 3i standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accountability, and transparency. Key Responsibilities Project Quality Leadership & Client Management • Represent 3i in quality-related interactions with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders, • Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned projects and support project teams in resolving quality issues, • Lead the implementation of project-specific QAQC plans, procedures, checklists, and inspection requirements, • Facilitate quality coordination meetings, pre-installation meetings, and quality reviews with field teams and subcontractors, • Communicate quality status, risks, deficiencies, corrective actions, and milestones to project leadership and stakeholders, • Maintain professionalism and responsiveness consistent with 3i’s brand and values Quality Planning & Program Implementation • Review contract documents, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and project requirements to establish quality expectations, • Develop and maintain project-specific QAQC processes including inspection checklists, testing plans, mock-up requirements, and first-work inspections, • Support project startup by confirming quality documentation workflows, reporting requirements, roles, and responsibilities, • Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to align quality requirements with project schedules and work sequencing, • Identify constructability, coordination, or documentation gaps that may result in non-conforming work, rework, claims, or schedule impacts, • Provide guidance to field staff and subcontractors regarding quality standards, approved materials, installation requirements, and documentation expectations Inspections, Testing & Field Compliance • Perform, coordinate, and document field inspections to verify work is installed in accordance with contract documents, approved submittals, codes, and company best practices, • Verify materials delivered to the project are approved, properly stored, protected, and acceptable for use before installation, • Coordinate third-party testing, special inspections, commissioning activities, and required owner or jurisdictional inspections, • Document deficiencies, non-conformance items, corrective actions, and follow-up inspections through timely and organized reporting, • Verify corrective work is completed and closed before follow-on work proceeds where required, • Support final inspections, punch list completion, commissioning verification, and owner acceptance activities Documentation & Project Controls • Create, update, and maintain QAQC logs, inspection reports, test reports, deficiency logs, non-conformance reports, punch lists, and other project-specific quality records, • Manage quality documentation using Procore or similar project management software, • Review shop drawings, product data, and submittals for conformance with project requirements in coordination with the project team, • Maintain project documentation in an organized, accurate, and audit-ready format, • Prepare and distribute QAQC meeting minutes, daily quality reports, and related project correspondence as required by contract documents, • Track quality trends, recurring issues, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement across projects Subcontractor & Field Team Coordination • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and project leadership to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and followed, • Provide direction and support to field teams regarding inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and project-specific quality procedures, • Participate in pre-installation meetings to confirm scope, sequencing, materials, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria, • Partner with Superintendents and Project Managers to resolve quality concerns in a timely, practical, and professional manner, • Escalate quality risks, repeated deficiencies, or unresolved issues to project leadership with recommended corrective actions Safety, Compliance & Closeout • Support safety program enforcement in coordination with project leadership and field teams, • Ensure quality activities align with permitting, regulatory, public-owner, contract, and reporting requirements, • Support closeout documentation, including O&M manuals, warranties, as-built documentation, commissioning records, and final quality reports, • Assist with warranty coordination and post-completion quality follow-up as needed, • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and workmanship excellence across assigned projects Technical Skills • OSHA 30 Certification required, • Procore project management software experience, • Bluebeam experience, • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, Teams), • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents, • Strong understanding of QAQC plans, inspection and test plans, non-conformance reporting, commissioning documentation, and punch list workflows, • Knowledge of construction contracts, public-sector documentation requirements, and construction law fundamentals, • Strong documentation, presentation, meeting facilitation, and communication skills, • CPR / First Aid Certification preferred Qualifications • 6-8+ years of relevant construction experience with quality control, field supervision, project engineering, or construction management responsibilities, • Experience supporting new construction, renovation, commercial, public-sector, K-12, municipal, or government projects and aviation and transportation Projects, • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience may be considered, • Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing QAQC programs and procedures in accordance with contract documents, • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, inspections, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, • High level of organization, attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through, • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and clients, • Ability to pass drug, background,
