The Regional Account Director is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the relationship with assigned accounts, including regional commercial payers, PBMs and government payers. The Division of Cerebrovascular Diseases led by Colum Amory, MD, MPH, at the Department of Neurology, Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), a major academic medical center within the Hackensack Meridian Health network (HMH), seeks a full time Vascular Neurologist to join its Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The successful candidate will have completed a residency in Neurology and an ACGME accredited fellowship in Vascular Neurology. HUMC is one of the 3 principal teaching hospitals for the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and for the HMH network. It features 775 beds and sees some 900 annual stroke admissions, many transferred from its affiliated spoke Primary Stroke Centers. The stroke unit is staffed by APNs 24/7. THE OPPORTUNITY/POSITION DESCRIPTION This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of instructor an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science center's working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, New York-Presbyterian Hospital. The desired candidate must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and will have completed a Pediatric Cardiology fellowship. The PACCT team consists of six heart failure/transplant cardiologists directed by Dr. Marc Richmond, four cardiac surgeons led by Dr. Emile Bacha, and a multi-disciplinary team that includes five nurse practitioners, two pharmacists, two social workers and nurse transplant and VAD coordinators. Begun in 1984, our transplant program has performed transplant in over 650 patients and currently averages approximately 20-25 transplants annually. In addition, we have an established MCS program led by Dr. Sabrina Law, offering the full complement of temporary and durable devices including Syncardia Total Artificial Heart. The program has recently provided MCS to approximately 15-20 patients per year, including bridge-to-transplant in complex CHD patients and destination VAD therapy. A close relationship with our surgical colleagues and adult VAD specialists offers a unique experience for novel approaches to VAD use. Our program consists of an established cardio-genetics clinic under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Lee, as well as multidisciplinary clinic for cardio-oncology, advanced Fontan care and Neuromuscular diseases; our center is an HCMA Center of Excellence for the care of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
