Process • Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards., • Adhere to and enforce Ulta Beauty’s dress code., • Use the company’s scheduling tool as directed to schedule the right associates, in the right places, at the right times in order to provide an exceptional guest experience, reduce loss, and execute company directives., • Use the company’s task management tool as directed to prioritize the execution of all store workload, and ensure full leadership adoption and compliance with company policy., • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention., • Execute day-to-day inventory control processes (e.g., known theft, damages, hazardous waste, inventory adjustments, product returns) and complete theft reporting as necessary., • Support continuous improvement by influencing the adoption of company initiatives and technology, communicating expectations, and ensuring the execution of all store tasks., • Utilize company programs, tools, and resources to drive store improvements. BSA serves NYC students who are the most at risk and face significant barriers to graduation. By design, 50% of the seats for upcoming 9th graders are set aside for students who are homeless, in foster care, or have otherwise had experience with the child welfare system. Given the extensive needs of BSA’s students, the model – which is unique among New York City charter schools – goes above and beyond the classroom through a formalized partnership with The Door, one of the country’s premier youth development organizations. BSA is housed within The Door so that students have facilitated and consistent access to The Door’s complete range of programming on site including: reproductive and primary healthcare and education, mental health counseling and crisis assistance, legal advice and representation, tutoring and homework help, college preparation services, job training and placement, supportive housing, sports and recreational activities, arts, and nutritious meals – all for free, completely confidential, and under one roof. JOB SUMMARY: The Community Advocate will work closely with families and Community School staff to support Community School Family Engagement and attendance Initiatives. The Community Advocate will help support parents’ skills, parent-child relationships, family relationships, and parent-school communication to increase student attendance and improve family well-being. The Community Advocate is responsible for initiating and maintaining a regular and sustainable supportive relationship with high-risk families. The Community Advocate will ensure optimal academic, social, and emotional development of both parents and students. The Community Advocate will work closely with the Community School Team (director, social worker, program coordinator, and tutor) to provide resources that will enhance the Community School. Staff members would need to have a working reliable computer. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT: • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, • Two years or more experience in the field of youth development, • Family outreach and home visit experience, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Excellent documentation skills, • Facility to motivate others toward achieving goals, • Ability to develop alliances with high risk and difficult to engage youth and families, • Knowledge of community resources and counseling practices with high-risk populations, • Outstanding collaborative skills, • Create and maintain thorough written record of assessments, attendance outreach efforts and all required documentation, • Work collaboratively with community resources to establish timely and effective referral processes, • Maintain ongoing open communication with school principal, parents, and school-based staff, • Support with the maintenance and distribution of pantry food, hygiene and cleaning supplies., • Work in collaboration with school PTA and Parent Coordinator to increase parent involvement through monthly initiatives., • Engage families and develop relationships between school and families of students identified as the targeted population (At-risk and chronically absent students)., • Partnering with families to create family goal plans that increase student attendance and enhance parent and child well being, • Maintain written records of home visits, family goals, and all required documentation, • Implement “Success Mentors” program to improve attendance initiatives. Success mentors are the most successful strategy for combating chronic absence. Success Mentors are caring adults (or peers) who mentor chronically absent students to identify the barriers preventing them from attending school each day., • Assign “Success Mentors” to chronically absent students. Help Success Mentors understand that any topic is worth discussing! The idea is not for a Success Mentor to have the answers, but for the mentee to talk about and explore ideas., • Implement attendance incentive programs. Hold award ceremonies for improved attendance, create an attendance going culture, and manage incentive programs (ex. trips, gifts, shirts)., • Support with Benefits enrollment and referrals including SNAP screenings and assistance., • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and students to design a comprehensive parent workshop calendar., • Refer participants to social worker for counseling to support with crisis intervention and safety planning, • Participate in ongoing efforts to advocate for program needs via community coalition building and via administering feedback surveys and program assessments, • Seek partnership opportunities and bring in at least 3 new partners a year to leverage resources to support programs, • Work closely with social worker, tutor, and case manager to support targeted student needs, • Attend all required department/ agency meetings and/or trainings Please submit a resume and thoughtful cover letter, outlining how your skills and experience meet the qualifications of the position you are applying for. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research on pharmacological novel interventions for patients with incomplete response to their current anti psychotic treatments. The Project Support Assistant III will assist the Principal Investigator(s) in day-to-day operations. JOB DUTIES: • Participant Identification and Screening: Use databases, outreach, phone calls, and online tools to locate potential participants who meet study criteria. Conduct initial screenings to verify eligibility., • Candidate Communication: Inform potential participants about study goals, procedures, benefits, and risks. Answer questions and obtain informed consent where applicable., • Database and Record Management: Maintain accurate records of participants' information, recruitment activities, and follow-ups to ensure compliance and smooth study operation., • Scheduling and Coordination: Arrange participant appointments and follow up to confirm attendance, sometimes coordinating with healthcare providers or study teams., • Collaboration: Communicate regularly with clinical research coordinators, investigators, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet recruitment goals and address challenges, • Screening and Assessment Support: Assisting with or conducting preliminary assessments or questionnaires to determine eligibility and ensure proper documentation., • Participant Engagement and Retention: Building rapport with potential and enrolled participants to encourage ongoing engagement and retention throughout the study., • Reporting and Documentation: Preparing recruitment reports, tracking metrics, and documenting challenges or successes for study oversight and regulatory audits. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in clinical research, healthcare, or community outreach is preferred, • Experience with participant recruitment, screening, and consent processes is highly desirable, • Familiarity with clinical trial protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., IRB, HIPAA, GCP) is advantageous, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in engaging diverse populations, is essential, • Proficiency in using databases, online tools, and electronic record-keeping systems.
