Job Path is seeking applicants for the Job Coach position in our employment programs. The individualized supports we provide are integral to the job retention for the participants in our program. Job Coaches must be reliable and punctual; in order for the people we support to be successful in their jobs. Applicants must be energetic, responsible, and creative. The Job Coach must be proactive, seeking out ways for a person to grow on the job and by identifying issues before they jeopardize a person's employment. The Job Coach will be responsible for communicating such information with their supervisors so that the team can work together to ensure the success of the people we support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Encourage Participants to learn new skills to grow at their jobs, • Work with employers to guarantee their satisfaction with Job Path services, • Be flexible and available to provide support to employment program participants as needed. At times one might have to work on the weekends., • Maintain communication with one's supervisor to ensure that vital information is shared in order to ensure the success of the people we support., • Write detailed case notes and submit electronic documentation* of all services provided for the month for billing purposes by assigned deadlines, • Work with employer and individual to resolve any problems that may arise during work hours. Qualifications: High School graduate or GED. We are seeking energetic, responsible, and creative people to provide one-on-one support in various community settings in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. The mission of the [Community Connections](https://www.jobpathnyc.org/community-connections/) program at Job Path is to ensure that people with developmental disabilities are visible in society and are recognized as equal citizens. We work one-on-one with people using a true person centered approach in order to foster relationships between people and their communities. We are looking for DSPs to work with participants who are new to JobPath as they are coming in through our transitional programs. Our cohort changes and we support people all throughout the city but at the moment we have participants located in ++Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn++. Our current cohort has participants who are interested in ++ sports and fitness, creative arts (animation, digital arts, physical arts, etc.), computers, and performing arts (singing, acting, writing), among other interests++. Our cohort has a range of personality and communication styles so we welcome anyone to apply but ideally we are looking for DSPs who are willing to help these participants adjust to our day hab program and build their programming. Days and times will vary depending on but we can also supplement hours with other open shifts in the department.     CZEN Restaurant is hiring a hands-on Sous Chef for our new Caribbean Asian Fusion restaurant, "CZEN". Chef responsibilities include studying existing recipes, setting up menus, preparing high-quality dishes and leading your team with the head chef. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. Responsibilities Ability to set up and prepare all food items; opening and closing duties; replenishment and rotation of stock Set up of non-food items for shift; high level of sanitation awareness and conscientiousness; professional, safe, and efficient manner. Inputting daily event sheets and daily reports. Production of menu items in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards. Ability to follow directions precisely and consistently; maintenance of work area and proper food storage; opening and closing duties. Adheres to company guidelines and house rules, always exceeds guest expectations. Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of event staff. Ability to interact with guests and staff in order to ensure guest satisfaction. Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials and services offered. Ability to assure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures. Work as a team with fellow associates and manage and lead your culinary team Inform wait staff about daily specials Ensure appealing plate presentation Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy) Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area Skills Proven work experience as a Sous Chef. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques. Sushi rolling & knowledge of Caribbean food is a plus. Leadership skills Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks Excellent time management abilities Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes Familiarity with sanitation regulations Ability to multitask in a fast paced, team orientated setting. Must be able to read, speak and write in English. Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds. Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time. Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
