About the Role: The Program Instructor plays a key role in facilitating Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), supporting job seekers, building relationships with schools, and ensuring program development and compliance. This position requires strong facilitation skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for working with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities to create meaningful employment and learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Training: • Lead engaging Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) classes focused on career exploration, job readiness, and skill development for students., • Assist students and job seekers with resume building, interview preparation, and vocational skill-building., • Establish and nurture partnerships with schools, businesses, and community partners to expand program reach., • Assist in developing the annual program schedule, including evening and weekend programming., • Assist in planning and implementing new initiatives to strengthen and expand program offerings., • Support billing and authorization submissions for vocational rehabilitation services (GVRA)., • Complete progress notes, incident reports, and attendance records within 24 hours of service completion., • Submit detailed tracking reports for each assigned participant., • Maintain open communication with supervisors, colleagues, and case managers regarding participant progress. COMPETENCIES • Understands and adheres to the organization’s policies, security protocols, and confidentiality guidelines (including HIPAA)., • Consistently arrives on time, meets deadlines, and follows organizational policies with integrity and accountability., • Promotes an inclusive environment that respects and values diversity in participants and staff., • Demonstrates the ability to provide individualized, person-centered care that prioritizes participant dignity, choice, and autonomy., • Clearly and professionally communicates with participants, colleagues, families, employers, and supervisors both verbally and in writing., • Responds effectively to unexpected situations, participant needs, and program changes while maintaining a calm and solution-oriented approach., • Manages multiple responsibilities efficiently, including participant care, transportation, and documentation., • Proactively manages tasks without constant supervision, anticipating needs and taking independent action., • Works well with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to provide seamless support and participant care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or closely related field or relevant experience with minimum of 3 years in a similar professional environment., • Must have valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable transportation., • Must be punctual and reliable., • Basic proficiency in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Prior work experience in a similar professional environment., • Knowledge of contemporary teaching methodologies for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to work a flexible schedule (may include nights, weekends, and holidays) independently in a community setting., • Must be able to operate EmployAbility owned vehicles to transport participants., • Must be able to perform a wide variety of physical duties in various educational and employment environments.
