Part-time/Per diem only with opportunity to become Full-time About Us In His Name Document Services LLC (IHN Family Services) is a vendorized Coordinated Family Support (CFS) provider serving adults with developmental disabilities under the Alta California Regional Center system. Our mission is to help individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities through person-centered, culturally responsive support. Position Summary The Client Service Worker (CSW) provides direct, one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities who live with their families or independently. The CSW assists clients in daily living skills, community participation, transportation, personal organization, and achieving individual goals outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP). This position focuses on hands-on support—not case management or social work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Provide direct personal assistance and life-skills coaching to clients in their homes and community. * Support clients with meal preparation, hygiene reminders, light household organization, budgeting, grocery shopping, scheduling, and community activities. * Promote independence by teaching step-by-step daily-living and self-advocacy skills. * Assist clients in attending medical, educational, or community appointments as needed. * Document daily activities and client progress in service notes per Title 17 and Alta Regional requirements. * Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding any concerns, incidents, or changes in client condition. * Follow all agency policies including confidentiality, HIPAA, Title 17, and Lanterman Act standards. * Participate in required staff trainings (person-centered practices, trauma-informed care, mandated-reporter, CPR/First Aid, etc.). * Support clients in emergency situations using calm judgment and clear communication. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED (required) * Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, elderly clients, or in a human-services setting (preferred but not required — training provided) * Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required) * Must pass LiveScan background check, drug screening, and TB test * CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire) * Ability to read, write and complete clear documentation in English (required); bilingual (Spanish, Punjabi, Russian preferred) * Professional, dependable, and compassionate attitude toward clients and families Skills & Competencies * Compassion and patience with diverse populations * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Time management and dependability * Ability to follow care plans and supervisor direction * Culturally competent and trauma-informed practice Working Conditions * Work takes place in clients’ homes and community settings (transportation may be required) * Schedule may include day, evening or weekend hours depending on client needs * Physical requirements include occasional lifting (10-25 lbs), bending, standing, and mobility during community activities Benefits * Competitive hourly pay ($22–$28 DOE) * Paid training and professional development * Mileage reimbursement (per company policy) * Opportunities for advancement into lead or administrative roles * Supportive team culture and mission-driven environment Equal Opportunity Statement In His Name Document Services LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
