Job Description Job Title: Patient Greeter Book here for more information: Job Description The Patient Greeter provides front-desk support in a busy medical pavilion and serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and vendors. This role focuses on creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient entry experience by supporting check-in, wayfinding, and basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the facility. Responsibilities • Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner., • Check patients into the building and verify basic registration or appointment information as needed., • Provide clear directions and general information to help patients locate departments, offices, or services within the medical pavilion., • Manage high-volume foot traffic and phone inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service at all times., • Enter and update visitor or patient information accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) and other electronic systems, as required., • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow throughout the facility., • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and all facility policies and procedures., • Monitor the front desk and waiting areas to help ensure a safe, organized, and clean environment for patients and visitors., • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front-desk role in a healthcare setting., • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, visitors, and staff., • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems., • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume foot traffic and phone calls while maintaining accuracy and composure., • Ability to enter and update information accurately in electronic systems., • Understanding of patient confidentiality requirements and HIPAA compliance., • High school diploma (H.S. Diploma) required., • Experience with prior authorizations in a healthcare setting., • health care or medical office operations., • General administrative and clerical skills, including data entry and record management., • Interest in gaining valuable experience within a busy healthcare organization. This role is based in a busy medical pavilion front-desk environment, supporting high patient and visitor volume and frequent interaction with clinical and administrative teams. The position uses electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other electronic tools for check-in and data entry. The work schedule follows structured shifts that may include evenings and late nights. Example schedules include: Schedule 1 with Sunday from 2:00 PM to 12:45 AM (10 hours 45 minutes), Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 12:45 AM (8 hours 15 minutes each), and Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:15 PM (4 hours 15 minutes), totaling approximately 32 hours per week; Schedule 2 with similar Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday hours, Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:15 PM (4 hours 15 minutes), and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 12:45 AM. The environment is fast paced and patient-facing, with an emphasis on professionalism, clear communication, and maintaining a clean and organized front-desk and waiting area. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Spring Valley, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
