JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for managing warehouse operations (fulfillment, shipping, receiving) and the day-to-day activities and work performance of the warehouse staff. The warehouse managers overall goal is to increase efficiency and productivity while providing excellent customer service and a safe work environment and to support our ISO9001:2015/AS9100D:2016 Quality Management System. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Management Responsibilities • Direct the day-to-day operations of the warehouse staff ensuring a smooth flow of goods and materials., • Lead, coach, and manage the warehouse staff by providing quarterly assessments, career development, training, yearly/quarterly goals, and disciplinary action (as needed)., • Manage staffing requirements and schedule warehouse staff to meet customer service level goals. Monitor and assign overtime as needed., • Ongoing and daily oversight on employee productivity and adherence to correct processes and procedures., • Evaluate order processing priorities and assign work to meet customer service level goals while balancing operating cost goals., • Track and report employee performance and department performance against productivity, error rate, order turn-around goals, ISO9001/AS9100 KPIs., • Maintain a clean, safe work environment. Be familiar with, and adhere to, all state and federal safety regulations., • Schedule and hold periodic warehouse safety meetings as required by CAL-OSHA, • Document a monthly warehouse safety checklist., • Maintain all calibration records for the calipers, gauges, and scales utilized in the warehouse., • Oversee the management of warehouse supply (bags, boxes, label stock, etc.) levels to make sure they are adequate, but not over purchased, for work needs., • Monitor carrier service levels, delivery and pick-up times. Interact with carrier drivers & representatives to notify of and solve issues. Report issues and status to Operations Manager and recommend potential solutions., • Create, and keep updated, a documented procedure for estimating the cost to build assemblies (kits). Perform, or delegate and oversee, the estimation of assembly costs., • Facilitate and initiate communication with the inside sales and counter sales departments to anticipate future workload. Set and meet both internal and external customer service level goals in the warehouse within the constraints of warehouse labor cost limitations. Monitor Did Not Ship statistics daily and keep those numbers at or near zero., • Appropriately delegate the inspection of the condition of warehouse equipment, including forklift, scales, sealers, roll-up doors, scanner guns, etc., as required for proper maintenance. Arrange for maintenance, repair, or recommend replacement as necessary., • Schedule and maintain the current certification for a minimum of 4 forklift operators. Enter and maintain forklift certification records in the OLA shared drive., • Investigate P21 Inventory Rebuild issues weekly and repair with AppLauncher when necessary., • Manage an inspection team capable of creating FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) using optical imaging equipment, cameras, calipers, gauges, etc. that meet AS9102 standards., • Maintain documentation or develop and implement department operating procedures utilizing CORE to ensure customer service level goals and operating cost goals are met. Including corrective action procedures to address complaints and errors., • Monitor the flow of products through the receiving, shipping, and fulfillment processes. QUALIFICATIONS • Education: bachelors degree or minimum of 7 years of Warehouse Management experience, • Understanding of the ISO 9001:2015/AS9100D:2016 standard and working knowledge of ISO9001/ASA9100 Quality Management System (QMS) and willingness to be further trained on this process., • Understanding the requirements of the AS9102 FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) standards with the ability to use or learn to use optical inspection tools such as the Keyeynce IM-X and Miitutoyo QI-C systems., • Knowledge of (PLM) document control systems (CORE Business Solutions preferred), • Competent in all warehouse functions (kitting & bagging, shipping, receiving, weigh station), • Understanding of International Shipping requirements, • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, outlook-email)., • Knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor, P21 preferred)., • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills, • Ability to identify and proactively manage and resolve problems., • Ability to delegate effectively, work independently, exercise good judgment and make decisions., • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, • Strong analytical skills, • Ability to build, work and interact with suppliers, customers and employees while demonstrating tact, sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism., • Excellent communication and customer service skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Strong leadership and team building skills, with demonstrated ability to champion organizational initiatives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Requires extended periods of standing., • Able to read documents, computer screens, and make entries into the software system., • May require extensive walking., • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs. Base Pay Salary Range: $80k-$90k DOE This role is eligible for the Company/Team bonus plans. Olander complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and determines compensation based on candidates qualifications, education, skill set, experience, and internal equity.
