Job Title: Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to provide in-home support to individuals who require assistance due to aging, illness, disability, or other conditions. The PCA will deliver care in a respectful and professional manner while promoting client independence, safety, and well-being. Patient Care Responsibilities • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, • Support mobility through ambulation, transferring, positioning, and prescribed exercises, • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, • Provide medication reminders as outlined in the care plan, • Assist with personal hygiene, skin care, and overall comfort, • Follow special dietary plans under the direction of healthcare professionalsCoordination of Care, • Follow individualized care plans and ensure proper service delivery, • Report changes in clients physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions to the Supervisor, • Communicate effectively with the care team and participate in care discussions, • Escort clients to medical appointments, errands, and outings, • Assist clients with communication needs (e.g., writing correspondence, gathering information), • Identify and report unsafe conditions in the home environment General Responsibilities • Provide companionship, emotional support, and social interaction, • Assist with meal preparation and routine housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, organizing), • Perform errands and shopping, including handling client funds when required, • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment, • Document daily activities, observations, and service hours accurately, • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and required orientations, • Follow all agency policies, procedures, and care standards, • Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members, • Knowledge of personal care and home management practices, • Basic understanding of healthcare procedures, including first aid and CPR, • Familiarity with documentation and record-keeping, • Ability to safely assist clients with ADLs and mobility, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Ability to observe and report changes in client condition, • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to client needsRequirements, • Certification in Personal Care, • Current drivers license, • Proper Vehicle Insurance CoverageTraining/Experience:, • May require related experience.
