OVERVIEW: The Master Electrician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and installation of facilities electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for repairs and improvements to electrical service and devices at RTS facilities in accordance with all appropriate codes and regulations. Secondary responsibilities include performing major and routine repairs typically encountered in maintaining building and shop equipment at a mass-transit facility. The candidate must also demonstrate a level of competency in the general building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, concrete finishing, and miscellaneous remodeling. The successful candidate will be assigned to complete all tasks within the scope of RGRTA/RTS Buildings and Grounds mechanical work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or othercomponents., • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance withcodes., • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could behazardous., • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety ofsystem., • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and localcodes., • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safetycodes., • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and testlamps., • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such asmotors., • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and powertools., • Work from ladders, scaffolds, powered lifts, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, andfixtures., • Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits betweenboxes., • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches oroutlets., • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavyobjects. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a full set of tools to perform all jobsassigned., • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs., • A valid NYS driver's license and clean driving record required., • Must obtain a New York State CDL Class Bpermitwith passenger and air brake endorsement prior to start date., • Current license as a Master Electrician (Three-phase) issued by the City of Rochester Electrical Examining Board EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), • Candidate must have met all requirements as listed above. Collaborate with hospitals to prevent patient rehospitalization. Manage referrals and coordinate safe home care services for patients, in accordance with physician. Accountable for developing positive relationships with referral sources Essential Functions • Cultivate relationships to help physicians and hospitals identify the best Home Care solution for their patients., • Exhibit active listening skills in order to conduct a comprehensive assessment including physical, psychosocial, and anticipated environmental needs., • Interview patient and family/designated back-up., • Communicate with PCP to safely transition to home and secure follow up appointment with PCP within seven (7) days of hospital discharge., • Obtain a copy of the patient’s Hospital Discharge Instructions to facilitate medication reconciliation with physician., • Collaborate with the acute care setting’s interdisciplinary team members to facilitate referrals and resulting in timely sharing of patient information during transitions to and from home care., • Provide accurate and timely documentation via Home Care Home Base (HCHB) to facilitate the referral process., • Develop an initial plan of care for each patient., • Obtain insurance authorization and verify physician signing home care orders., • Document according to facility/agency regulatory guidelines., • Function as a team with fellow HCCs, agencies, and other HCR departments., • Invoke the nursing process, identify qualifiers for home care, provide sufficient overview of both hospital course and identified initial home care need., • Assist others as needed, displaying flexibility and effective problem-solving techniques in response to fluctuating patient volume and vacation coverage., • Effectively communicate with internal business partners to ensure a safe, effective home care plan for all HCR patients., • Attend required HCR meetings, in-services, and functions., • Conduct education activities with physicians and hospitals., • Be knowledgeable and conversant in all HCR programs and services, including specialty programs., • Work in conjunction with community outreach staff, as needed., • Meet agency referral metrics., • Use outreach tools to effectively communicate with referring sources., • Ability to clearly articulate an understanding of reimbursement issues and their relationship to home care., • Demonstrate continuous professional development and participation in self and peer evaluation., • Other duties as assigned.
