We are actively seeking a dynamic General Manager to join our rapidly growing team at our St. Louis location. The General Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all activities of the region or branch location to accomplish budgeted financial objectives, ensuring the smooth operation of service, rentals, parts, sales, and administrative functions, and good working relationships between customers, vendors, branches, Corporate, and this branch or region. What we offer: A complete benefit package including: • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • 401(k) Plan with company match, • Life Insurance, • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • Critical Illness and Accident Insurance, • Pet Insurance, • Flexible Spending Account, • Employee Assistance Program, • Interest-free Tool Loans and Tool Insurance, • Uniforms for Technicians, • Subsidies for Safety Boots and Safety Glasses Operations: • Responsible for profitability of the branch, meeting budget forecasts., • Provide input (working with COO, VP-Sales, and CFO) in creating annual working budgets., • Manage branch’s assets and limit any liabilities., • Responsible for customer satisfaction., • Responsible for staffing and development of employees for present position and career path., • Maintain leadership role as regional or branch head, provide tools to protect the health and safety of all employees., • Engage all employees in contributing toward cost reduction and profit maximization., • Define and direct operation of all departments., • Lead monthly staff meetings., • Attend and participate in all departmental meetings., • Attend and participate in quarterly Corporate staff meeting., • Keep current on all industry news and trends., • Partner with management team to ensure customer satisfaction and sales goals are achieved., • Responsible for developing and implementing business plans for all territories of the branch or region as directed by VP Sales., • Ensure business plans and sales results meet expectations of the manufacturers we represent under direction of VP Sales., • Manage any major accounts that are assigned to you, to ensure their needs are met., • Supervise Account Managers and other sales reps as assigned., • Monitor each Account Manager’s progress and review business plan quarterly to ensure they are on track (CRM current, sales goals being met, the right customers/prospects are being contacted, etc.), • Work with each Account Manager in establishing annual business plans set forth by VP Sales., • Approve and process monthly commissions for Account Managers., • Assist Account Managers as appropriate to ensure customers are satisfied., • Work with VP Sales to establish marketing campaigns., • Participate in or attend relevant trade shows., • Participate in continuing education as available and ensure sales reps obtain all training available yearly as directed by VP Sales., • Develop and lead field sales staff: responsible for hiring, development, and disciplining (if necessary) of all field sales staff., • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience., • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others., • Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities., • Planning: ability to think ahead and plan over a one-to-two year time span., • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills., • Expert knowledge of industrial powered equipment and our industry., • Strong computer proficiency – in particular Microsoft applications and our business system software., • Commitment to company vision and mission.
