Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Patient Care Tech EMT PRN for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role: · You will be responsible for the administration of basic nursing procedures and or clerical duties involved with the care of hospital patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse RN. · You will be responsible for assisting with routine patient care assignments, working in controlled and/or uncontrolled patient care situations, assisting with/in established nursing care procedures, and assisting in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and preventive activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse. · You will be responsible for assisting the RN with patient movement, clerical functions and treatments as prescribed by the physician. · You will maintain in-hospital competency for performing 12-lead electrocardiogram and completes as ordered by physician. · You will maintain in-hospital competency for performing phlebotomy and completes as ordered by physician. What qualifications you will need: · 1 year of EMT experience preferred. · Texas Department of Health Certification: Emergency Medical Technician (Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic) required. · Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required. ___ is a full-service 340+ bed acute care hospital in Pasadena, Texas.
