Job Description Job Title: Calibration Technician Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possibility of extension for the right candidate depending on performance) Pay Rate: $28.49/hr (W2) Location: Warren, NJ 07059 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Normal Business Hours) Work Model: 100% Onsite Position Overview The Calibration Technician is responsible for executing calibration, preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, repair, and performance verification of laboratory and manufacturing equipment in compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards. This role supports multiple Warren sites and requires strong technical expertise, documentation accuracy, and collaboration across QC, Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, and Facilities teams. Key Responsibilities Equipment Calibration & Maintenance • Execute equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, performance verification, troubleshooting, and repairs per CMMS schedule., • Perform requalification of Controlled Temperature Units (CTUs) including refrigerators, -20°ree;C/-80°ree;C freezers, incubators, cryotanks, cryopods, and storage rooms., • Use test equipment such as pressure gauges, temperature/humidity meters, flow meters, particle counters, and temperature mapping tools., • Review and approve vendor-executed calibration and maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness., • Escort and supervise vendors performing calibration and repair services., • Ensure all approved records are properly filed and documented in CMMS (WPT/MDT templates)., • Maintain accurate records following cGMP and ALCOA/ALCOA+ data integrity principles., • Author, revise, and review SOPs related to calibration and preventive maintenance., • Participate in quality investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities., • Perform equipment and standards inventory management., • Coordinate with Planning to ensure system updates following maintenance activities., • Obtain supplier quotations for external calibration and maintenance services., • Support process improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects., • Provide weekend on-call troubleshooting support for clinical manufacturing as needed., • Support multiple Warren sites (local travel required). Required • High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree., • Minimum 3 years of experience in an FDA-regulated industry., • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, balances, refrigerators, freezers, temperature/humidity meters)., • Working knowledge of cGMP and good documentation practices., • Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication and organizational skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., • Experience with CMMS systems (Blue Mountain RAM, Maximo, or similar)., • Maintenance coordination or planning experience.
