We are currently looking to fill a Technical Sales Manager position that will be based in Fresno, California. Technical Sales Manager - Southwest Direct Reports: None Supervisory Responsibilities: None Key contacts: Director, North American Sales, Commercial Manager, Customer Service Manager, Contracts Administration, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations Position Summary: The Technical Sales Manager is a key position that combines technical knowledge with strong sales acumen to drive revenue growth for technical products or services. This position involves building client relationships and providing technical expertise to support sales strategies. This position bridges the gap between engineering teams and customers, ensuring that complex technical solutions meet client needs while achieving sales targets. Key Performance Indicators • Responds to customer requests within 24 hours of being contacted and document contact in Salesforce swiftly., • Maintains existing customers within assigned territory., • Increase Territory Volume by 100mm in New Business each year., • Utilizes Salesforce to generate AR/ER documents within 24 hours of customer request and maintains Salesforce information on a regular basis., • Submits Bi-Weekly Sales Report by 8:00 A.M. Second/Fourth Thursday of Month, • Manages contract renewals with the goal of maintaining long term contracts (4 years as standard)., • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote technical products/services, identifying new market opportunities and expanding existing client accounts., • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, and internal teams., • Achieves sales goals by calling on assigned accounts through effectively negotiating, quoting and closing the sale of Sinclair labelling and equipment products at or above target profitability., • Technical liaison between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Service to bridge the gap between technical expertise and business development., • Cultivates, maintains, and grows account relationships with assigned customer base., • Cultivates, maintains, and grows account relationships with target accounts within assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provide training to other Sales Managers on technical aspects of products to enhance their selling capabilities., • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and marketing teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements and market demands., • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and consultations for prospective customers to showcase product features and benefits., • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product improvements and sales tactics., • Demonstrates continual success in maintaining assigned accounts and pursuing and securing new accounts., • Effectively negotiates pricing along with ongoing contractual agreements., • Utilizes strong product knowledge to provide consultative sales advice and to resolve customer questions and concerns., • Coordinates, prepares and distributes sales quotations / proposals along with marketing materials to current and to target sales leads., • Partners with all RSMs on complicated technical installs/opportunities ensuring proposed solutions meet customer requirements., • Coordinates, and distributes Sinclair renewal contracts to current customers., • Coordinates, and distributes Sinclair Contracts to target customers., • Tracks and maintains leads and requests, competitive information, pertinent industry information, logs sales calls, prepares weekly call schedule, using Sales Force CRM., • Assists in preparation of annual sales plans and budgets., • Keeps management apprised of key issues, program evaluations, competitive activities and market conditions to maximize opportunities thru good communication., • Recommends changes to be made in our products, services, and policies to management based on In-Field feedback and observations., • Assists in marketing research activities as needed., • Travels throughout assigned territory; participates in trade shows, Industry and customer events., • Other duties as assigned. Sinclair Systems International - Person Specification JOB TITLE: Technical Sales Manager Essential Desirable Qualifications • · Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, • · 5+ years of experience in technical sales or engineering, • · Strong understanding of relevant technologies or industry specific solutions, • Strong computer skills including good proficiency in MS Office; experience using CRM software, • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience using consultative selling techniques to build customer trust, • · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, • · Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, • · Customer-focused mindset with strong negotiation capabilities, • · Technical aptitude and eagerness to stay updated on industry advancements, • · Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings, weekends and overnight travel based on company and customer, • Well organized and self-motivated, • Confident and comfortable working in varying situations or environments.
