Pay: $23.00-$35.00/hr.-or- $47,840/yr to $72,800/yr. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm Overtime: Possible, if needed on Saturday's (6am-12pm) Position: Direct-Hire with full suite of benefits and paid time off! Non-Exempt Position: Any hours worked in excess of 40 hours will be paid overtime. Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented A-level Visual Quality Inspector to ensure product quality through thorough visual examination, open plate inspections, First-Piece, in-process and final inspection processes. This role is crucial in maintaining our quality standards by identifying defects, documenting findings, and preventing non-conforming product from reaching customers. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of precision-machined components to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. The role includes dimensional inspection, visual checks, and documentation of non-conformances, utilizing both manual and digital measuring tools within a CNC machining production environment. Key Job Responsibilities: • Audit quality of production during all phases of manufacturing., • Perform first piece, in-progress, and final inspection of machined parts., • Perform Gage calibration and record keeping using Gage Track software., • Develop detailed in-process and final inspection reports., • Interpret various drawing specifications, GD&T, and open plate inspections, • Complete detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with AS9100 and internal documentation protocols. • Inspect CNC machined components and assemblies to verify conformance to customer and engineering specifications using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment. • Work with both quality and manufacturing engineers to help develop processes., • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, models, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols, and manufacturing documents., • Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner, prior to deadlines and precise., • Familiarization with AS9100 and ISO9001:2000 standards Job Qualification Requirements: • High school diploma or GED Required; Trade/Vocational certificate in precision machining a plus!, • Minimum 3+ years of solid, proven experience within quality inspection, open plate inspections, First piece, In-Process and final inspection with CNC machined components and familiarization with AS9100, required. Ideally, want someone with 5+ years., • Experience with quality control techniques and methods, • Experience with standard measuring devices, inspection tools such as; calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment., • Ability to read blueprints and drawings including GD&T, and strong background in precision machining environments, required., • Use inspection equipment efficiently, MS Office Suite Software, and prior ERP experience, required., • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills., • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain)., • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp., • The employee is frequently required to use the computer., • May involve the use of oils and solvents., • Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided), • Generally, works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such., • Safety Glasses are required and may require area specific safety training, • This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud., • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
