Reporting directly to the Residential Supervisor, the Support Aide provides trauma-informed support to residents and their children and assists in maintaining a welcoming, safe, and supportive community environment, while ensuring that residential services are of the highest quality standards according to the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regulatory and funding source guidelines, as well as state licensing requirements. • The Generations I program is a congregate care foster care program that serves young women up to age 21 who are pregnant and/or parenting. Essential Functions Include Leadership • Support an environment that fosters growth and development for all residents and encourages residents to actively participate as a partner in the development of goals and planning of services., • Demonstrate ethical and professional interactions with other staff and residents and hold others (staff and residents) accountable when unethical and/or unprofessional interactions do occur., • Interact calmly and appropriately in crisis situations and manage positive outcomes for the safety of the residents., • Ensure the residents and their children are supervised and have adequate meals and activities., • Transport residents to appointments, check inventory for supplies, check/purchase requests, and food shopping when required., • Ensure medication administration policies and procedures are followed., • Complete all documentation in a timely fashion and in required formats, including but not limited to: therapeutic and non-therapeutic interactions, unusual incidents, routine activities, progress notes, health & safety checklist, point sheets, medication administration, etc., • Complete and submit a daily end of shift report., • Ensure residents are provided with written appointment reminders daily., • Monitor and track residents to ensure regular participation in the program, including chores, maintaining cleanliness of rooms, etc., • Ability to clearly and positively communicate and interact with all Generation I staff and residents., • Ability to give clear and concise oral and written instructions., • Education: minimum high-school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or college degree from four-year, accredited institution a plus. Major in human services or related field preferred., • Experience: minimum of two years working with adolescents in a child welfare or behavioral health setting or related experience required. This role ensures that services are delivered in accordance with state regulations, evidence-based practices, and the mission of the organization. The Clinical Director oversees program development, staff supervision, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives to support the behavioral and mental health needs of children and families. This is a part-time position that provides intensive psychotherapy services to a child and family in settings other than a provider agency or office. While settings often focus on the child's home and school, other potential settings include: a community center, a neighbors or extended family members home, and other community settings. Services provided by a Mobile Therapist vary according to the individualized needs of a child and family and always includes the child as a participant in their own treatment, as well as parent and other caretakers as members of the treatment team. Essential Functions of this Position Include: Communication * Promotes the development of adaptive skills and relationships of the child. * Is available for crisis intervention and collaborates with child, family and other involved professionals to develop a crisis plan that can include behavioral contracts with the child and lists of community and therapeutic resources. * Maintains contact with other members of the treatment team and assists in the implementation of the treatment plan. Helps develop daily routines, which will enhance the treatment approach indicated in the treatment plan. Documentation * Maintains progress notes for every billable and nonbillable contact. * Completes and submits progress notes within 72 hours from date of service and other billing/encounter documentation weekly to the Clinical Manager for timely review and submission. * Documents collateral contacts with family and other entities involved with client treatment in progress notes. * If the MTLC (Lead on the Case) creates Initial Treatment Plan, the MT reviews and updates the Treatment Plan as necessary at least every 6 months of treatment. Update treatment plan if a significant event occurs, such as hospitalization Planning * Provides child-centered, evidenced-based, family-focused individual and family psychotherapy as appropriate, which addresses the defined problem areas in the treatment plan and is strength-based. * Ensures that services provided to the child and families are unified and that there is continuity of care. * Coordinates the overall clinical direction of treatment and determines, with the family and other involved professionals, any other necessary family or child support services (i.e., medication, psychological testing, community supports) and how they can be obtained by the family. * If medication compliance is an issue for a child, helps the family develop daily routines that ensure medication is taken on a regular basis, and that medication check-ups with the psychiatrist are scheduled and attended by the child and family. * Participates in clinical consultation/supervision and staff training program as required. Monitoring * Assesses strengths and therapeutic needs of child and family by using active listening, asking questions, and an exchange of information. Qualifications (Must have one of A-D to qualify, in addition to E &F) A. Education: Minimum Requirement - Master's Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline AND completed clinical or MH practicum B. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or behavioral analysis certification C. Graduate degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) D. Licensed BSC E. Experience: At least one year full-time paid experience in the mental health field. Excellent working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children, adolescents and families. F. Familiar with multiple child-serving systems (e.g. education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, drug and alcohol, health care and vocational rehab).
