Job Description Position: Group Leader Reports to: Executive Director Hours: 15–20 hours/week, varies Monday–Friday (2:00–6:00 PM or 3:00–6:00 PM) The Group Leader is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising all activities for an assigned group in the after-school program. This position ensures safety standards are upheld at all times, follows and enforces Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and ACT policies, and provides exceptional customer service to participants and their families. General Duties • Supervise and ensure the well-being of all after-school program participants., • Plan, implement, and lead a variety of recreational activities, including team-building games, arts, and enrichment programs., • Provide quality customer service through positive interaction with participants, staff, guardians, and the public., • Maintain the highest level of safety and risk management at all times., • Respond appropriately to all emergencies and report incidents to the appropriate supervisor., • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a group setting (not including babysitting). If hired, candidates must submit: • Completed medical form, • NYS fingerprinting clearance, • State Central Register database clearance, • HR paperwork Additional Opportunities for Hours • School Break Camps: ACT offers camp programs during public and/or private school closures. Group Leaders may work between 5–9 hours per day (with breaks) if selected., • Summer Camp: During summer break, Group Leaders may be hired to work up to 40 hours per week if selected.
