Job Description Clinical Supervisor - Cedar Knolls House POSITION OVERVIEW: The Clinical Supervisor has clinical and administrative responsibility for a residential program unit, under the supervision and direction of the Director. The Supervisor is responsible for carrying a small caseload, supervising clinical staff, ensuring the provision of psychotherapeutic, psychiatric and case management services for residents, overseeing administrative processes, and participating in various administrative and team conferences. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (List the functions that are essential to achieve the goals): · Provide weekly clinical supervision to case planners and case managers · Teach and monitor supervisee’s screening, assessment and monitoring of all safety related concerns with residents · Ensure that case planners oversee provision of all counseling, vocational/educational, psychiatric and recreational services to residents · Ensure case managers are completing required home visits and face to face contacts with resources · Ensure case managers are presenting the agency professionally and responsibly at criminal and/or family court hearings · Meet with assigned residents for weekly sessions, engage and remain in contact with their parents, ensure that home visits are completed, vocational/educational, psychiatric, recreational services provided and address any safety and risk concerns · Assist supervisees in engaging families in planning for services and complying with ACS outreach requirements · Assist supervisees as necessary, in identifying and providing access to specific concrete services and community resources · Advocate, as necessary, with external resources such as mental health providers, treatment facilities, FCLS, community members, etc on behalf of residents · Attend family court hearings when additional support is requested · Assist in the development and implementation of specialized groups related to the needs of residents and their families · Attend conferences at ACS offices and other community-based meetings. · Attend ACS and JB trainings as required. · Participates in internal and external continuous quality improvement projects. · Make reports to State Central Registry or Justice Center as needed. · Complete all other duties as needed and requested · Participate in training and implementation of the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) Team Process · Lead or co-lead, and attend all group supervisions, treatment team meetings, family treatment conferences, transfer conferences, incident review meetings, ITM planning meetings and administrative meetings · Work jointly with medical, DSPs, psychiatric and vocational/educational departments to ensure provision of services to residents Documentation · Teach, revise, and ensure accurate and timely completion of all clinical documents under the responsibility of clinical staff, included and not limited to, progress notes, treatment plans, transitional plans, safety plans, court updates, etc. · Review and ensure completion of accurate and timely Family Assessment Service Plan Reports (FASP) and Permanency Hearing Reports (PHR) · Ensure completion and review of agency internal Incident Reports in Alltrac system. · Complete progress notes in CONNECTIONS and MyAvatar, as well as review those of supervisee’s · Maintain weekly supervision notes and complete all supervisee’s evaluations in a timely fashion · Complete ACS Connections monthly supervisory reviews for all residents CORE COMPETENCIES for the position include: · Team player · Function from a strength-based approach with residents, supervisees, and colleagues · Utilize coaching approach with residents, supervisees, and colleagues · Able to show respect and compassion for residents, supervisees, and colleagues · Able to function under stressful situations · Able to see crisis through resolution of incidents · Able to prioritize and organize · Display initiative and consistency in practice · Display strong engagement skills · Has strong verbal and written skills · Able to pay attention to details · Open to learning new tasks EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIRED: · Licensed Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field. · Evening hours are required, on occasion. The Lead Coach supervises MST Coaches working within the community to coordinate/ensure appropriate resources and services are assigned and implemented for the youth's success. Job Summary: Rising Ground Justice for Youth and Families is currently looking to hire a Residence Manager for one of our juvenile justice facilities (LSP/NSP/NSD) who will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the facility and the effective management of staff. The Residence Manager is the main link in assuring the provision of safe, secure, orderly, and quality services to all person supported who are placed in the program. The Residence Manager will run a home characterized by a supportive and therapeutic environment, conducive to self-improvement, and assure fidelity to utilizing Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) in conjunction with other models such as CBT, MYSI, Seven Challenges to support the milieu experience. Job Responsibilities: ● Assure that the manager respective facility complies with agency, city and state standards, and that staffing ratios are maintained. ● Must be able to obtain and maintain s95 or F80 FDNY fire alarms certifications. ● Support the principles of the Missouri Youth Institute (MYSI), Seven Challenges, ROCA CBT" with the end goal of teaching the young people to make positive, lasting changes in their behavior and prepare them to be self-sufficient through education and work experience. ● Prepare full-time staff schedules and ensure proper coverage utilizing per diem staff. ● Approve time sheets (payroll) and prepare overtime reports. ● Appropriately document accidents, illnesses, incidents, injuries, and other relevant reports ● Provide regular weekly supervision to Assistant Managers and all staff who report directly to the Residence Manager. Maintain a supervisory log to document this supervision. ● Develop the Assistance Manager and identify areas for growth and development. ● Hold all staff to high performance standards to ensure they accomplish all functions and provide quality services to the residents. ● Collaborate with JYF leadership and Human Resources to ensure ongoing progressive discipline and the full accountability of staff behaviors. ● Orient new Youth Counselor, Shift Supervisor, and Control Room Monitor staff and provide ongoing training, support, and quality supervision. ● Ensure that all staff maintain training compliance as per ACS and OCFS mandates. ● Oversee the fiscal management of the facility with PEX/petty cash fund, clothing, purchasing, food ordering, household and personal hygiene supplies, etc. ● Work as part of a collaborative team which includes case planners, educators, clinicians, and nurses to support each youth as they work to meet their individual goals assessing during weekly treatment team meetings. ● Responsible for the appearance and safety of the facility. ● Assure that the agency vehicles are properly maintained. ● Schedule and maintain senior team meetings regularly. ● Share on-call responsibilities with Assistant Directors. ● Conduct pop-up visits of all tours. ● Ensure LSP complies with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). ● Conduct weekly review of incident logs, camera reviews, MAR sheets and other facility related documents to ensure compliance. ● Other related tasks that may be assigned. Qualifications ● BA/BS/BSW in related field required Master degree preferred. ● 3-5 Years of management experience working directly with court-related youth in a residential setting. ● Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to maintain required documentation. ● Strong knowledge of ACS mandates and policies ● Strong knowledge of court-related youth population ● Strong knowledge of residential operations ● Prior experience with fiscal management preferred. ● Must be able to pass the required Safe Crisis Management (SCM) instructor training. Supervisory Responsibility: The Residence Manager will assume supervisory responsibilities for all assigned staff including FT Youth Counselors, Assistant Residence Managers, Control Room Staff (LSP only) and Per Diem Staff. Work Environment: The Residence Manager will be based out of their assigned residential location. The Residence Manager will work 5 days per week in person within JYF facilities. 1 remote day may be available based on approval by Director of Operations. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time position, 35 hours per week. Although general hours will be 9AM-5PM the Residence Manager will need to be extremely flexible to fit the needs of the program, often work late evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed by the demand of the program. The Residence Manager will be available to staff/persons supported 24/7/365. Utilize and model the appropriate techniques and procedures of SCM. Ensure all staff maintain consistent application of trained interventions, procedures, and responses (e.g., behavior support plans use and youth debriefings procedures).
