Job Description Overview A leading consumer technology organization is seeking a Field Merchandising Manager to support nationwide retail merchandising programs for its wearables product line. This role is responsible for planning, launching, managing, and reporting on in‑store merchandising and product demo initiatives across major North American retail partners, including premium eyewear and specialty retail environments. This is a highly execution‑focused role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing merchandising programs across large retail networks and is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities. Key ResponsibilitiesMerchandising Execution & Program Management * Lead planning, coordination, and execution of in‑store merchandising programs across thousands of retail locations. * Manage fixture installations, demo units, display technologies, and graphic updates to ensure all retail environments meet brand standards. * Build detailed execution plans and workback schedules for multiple concurrent initiatives across various product lines. * Review instructions, proofs, and installation requirements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Cross‑Functional Collaboration * Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams (channel marketing, operations, sales, analytics, product demo teams) and external partners (fixture vendors, labor agencies, retail partners). * Partner closely with eyewear retail partners to align on guidelines, timelines, and execution requirements. * Communicate program updates clearly and concisely across broad internal and external audiences. Vendor & Labor Management * Manage third‑party labor agencies responsible for in‑store execution across North America. * Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards. * Oversee invoice processing, budget tracking, and fiscal accountability for all labor‑related projects. Field Performance & Reporting * Track field execution, compliance, and demo performance across retail locations. * Analyze demo data, identify issues or roadblocks, and work with partners to resolve them quickly. * Prepare reporting for internal stakeholders, including progress updates, compliance summaries, and insights for continuous improvement. Operational Excellence * Understand fixture production processes, installation workflows, and retailer operating conditions to anticipate risks and plan effectively. * Support process improvements and contribute to scalable operational frameworks. * Navigate diverse organizational environments with professionalism, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in retail in‑store merchandising (brand side or vendor side). * 3+ years of project management experience. * 3+ years of third‑party labor management experience. * Experience working with North American eyewear retailers (e.g., Sunglass Hut, Ray‑Ban, LensCrafters) or similar specialty retail environments. * Proven ability to manage large volumes of projects with tight deadlines and high complexity. * Strong communication skills with experience presenting updates across broad teams. * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially regarding fixture installations and retail execution. * Experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders and external vendors. * Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify root causes. * Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with EssilorLuxottica retail partners, guidelines, and processes. * Experience planning large‑scale fixture installations from concept through production. * Experience working in highly cross‑functional, fast‑paced environments. * Budget management and fiscal accountability experience. * Experience with in‑store technology demos or retail tech environments. * Background in mobile carrier or specialty retail merchandising.
