JOB SUMMARY Maintain the established standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance in all areas of responsibility in a timely and appropriate manner. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES • Stock cart with supplies from the supply closet, • Keep the closet and cart clean and organized, • Clean guest bathrooms according to standards. This includes bathtubs, toilets, floors, mirrors, sinks, walls, and light fixtures. Remove used towels and rugs, replace with clean towels and rugs. Replenish toiletries, soaps, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc., • Clean guestrooms according to standards. This includes stripping bed linens, removing garbage (such as old newspapers, trash, used beverage containers, etc.), making the bed with fresh linen, dusting, vacuuming, straightening furniture, and bedside table/phone/hotel information, etc. Remove any room service or coffee service trays., • Understanding and practicing the safe and proper use and operation of all housekeeping equipment and supplies., • Responding to individual guests’ and employees' needs in an appropriate and timely manner., • Perform other duties as requested. TURN DOWN SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES…. • The property must perform a room refresh, which minimally includes these tasks (unless otherwise specified by the guest), • Remove used terry and replace with clean terry, • Including rollaway bed or pull-out sofa, • Replenish guest amenities and guest supplies, as needed, • Be sure that there are enough guest supplies and amenity items for all guests, • Empty wastebaskets and replace liners, as needed, • Turn a bedside lamp on, • Check the clock to make sure correct time, • Close drapes in the sleeping area, unless the window offers an attractive nightscape view, • Suites and parlors: Open drapes and sheers in the living area to offer a view of the surrounding area, • Place the television remote control on the nightstand, • Housekeeping experience is a plus but not requited, • Basic English verbal communication not required- translators available!, • Able to bend, reach, push and pull, • Attention to detail, • Able to lift up to 50lb., • Able to use cleaning chemicals, • Able to follow direction given PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS 0-24% 25-49% 50-74% 75-100% Seeing: Must be able to read reports and communicate with co-workers. X Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers X Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must be able to stand to open files and operate office machines; mobility between departments and to attend meetings of employees and managers.
