Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Associate – Shipping Job Description This role focuses on managing outbound shipments from a manufacturing warehouse that produces high-quality components using additive manufacturing (3D printing), CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly. The Warehouse Associate ensures that products are packaged correctly, shipped accurately, and delivered on time to internal customers and other facilities, while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient shipping and receiving area. Responsibilities • Process and prepare outbound shipments in line with established standard operating procedures., • Verify package contents, weights, and shipping labels to ensure accuracy before dispatch., • Package items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit., • Perform quality checks on packaged items to confirm they meet shipping and quality standards., • Coordinate daily with carriers and transportation providers to schedule and manage pickups., • Use internal shipping systems and shipping software to track, document, and update shipment status., • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move products and materials., • Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled shipping and receiving areas., • Follow all safety protocols and procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards., • Properly handle manufactured components, including machined parts, welded assemblies, and 3D-printed items, to prevent damage and mix-ups., • Maintain accurate shipping records, logs, and documentation for all outbound shipments., • Communicate shipment status proactively to manufacturing teams and internal customers., • Coordinate with production teams to confirm order readiness, prioritize shipments, and support on-time delivery., • Report shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly and help identify corrective actions., • Support inventory-related activities by accurately recording movements of goods as required.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent., • At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed., • Proficiency using computers and shipping software to process and track orders., • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in labeling, documentation, and packaging., • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and carriers., • Comfort working with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Associate’s degree or higher., • 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment., • Current forklift certification or prior experience operating forklifts., • Experience with automated shipping systems and related technology., • OSHA safety certification or formal safety training., • Experience with inventory management processes and systems., • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for tracking orders and inventory., • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic., • Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and adapt to changing priorities., • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to on-time delivery and service quality., • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support colleagues.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse environment located in Seattle. You will work a set schedule of approximately 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. from Monday through the workweek, supporting daytime operations. The facility handles a variety of manufactured components, including 3D-printed parts, machined components, welded assemblies, and sheet metal products, using material handling equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse tools. The role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around active manufacturing and shipping activities. You will use computers, shipping software, internal shipping systems, and potentially ERP tools such as SAP as part of daily tasks. The environment emphasizes adherence to OSHA safety standards, proper use of personal protective equipment as required, and maintaining clean, organized shipping and receiving areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tukwila, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.12/hr.
