Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing company to identify a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, revenue accounting, and financial reporting, with a strong focus on revenue recognition, inventory, and intercompany transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Assist with the overall month-end close and financial reporting process, playing a key role in ensuring a timely close for revenue, accounts receivable, and gross-to-net allowances, including e-commerce revenue and loyalty rewards liability reporting, in accordance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards., • Reconcile e-commerce orders through to cash, including reconciliation of credit card receivables and recording any associated processing fees., • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions, including payables, receivables, revenue, cost of goods sold, and inventory, investigating variances and ensuring proper elimination of intercompany AR/AP., • Reconcile inventory-related balance sheet accounts and collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure inventory receipts are properly vouched in a timely manner; investigate and resolve discrepancies., • Partner with the Billing and Collections team to ensure all sales tax activities are accurately captured and reported, and that inventory items are properly cataloged within Avalara for correct tax treatment., • Provide support during the year-end audit process, including preparation of documentation and responses to auditor requests., • Assist with additional monthly close activities and ad-hoc projects, including reconciliations related to fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.Required Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with a solid understanding of US GAAP., • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including public accounting, with strong experience in month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations., • Experience with intercompany accounting and a strong understanding of the order-to-cash cycle preferred., • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables, as well as the ability to build more complex formulas., • Experience with a major ERP system (experience with Macola is a plus but not required)., • Experience within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company strongly preferred., • Experience using Avalara for sales tax compliance highly preferred., • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify issues, take initiative, and propose effective solutions.APPLY TODAY!
