Thrive • Career growth opportunities, • Tuition assistance, • Competitive paid time off, • Comprehensive health benefits, • Advanced medical technology, • Commitment to improving patient outcomes Key Responsibilities • Provide 24/7 leadership for surgical services departments, • Oversee clinical, administrative, and financial operations, • Direct and coordinate patient care in alignment with clinical standards, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, • Lead quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics, • Ensure efficient resource utilization and operational excellence Scope of Responsibility Oversight includes: • Operating Room (OR), • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), • Same Day Surgery, • Sterile Processing, • Endoscopy, • Pre-op Optimization Clinic Key Challenges & Strategic Focus • Optimize OR throughput and block utilization, • Standardize surgical preference cards, • Reduce reliance on contract/travel staff, • Transition to a metrics-driven, high-volume environment, • Expand OR hours and improve scheduling access, • Build strong physician partnerships and manage change resistance Clinical Programs & Technology Specialties • General Surgery, • Orthopedics (high volume), • Women’s Health, • Urology, • DaVinci Robotic System, • Mako Orthopedic Platforms (2 units), • Globus System Leadership Expectations • Strong perioperative (OR) leadership expertise, • Proven ability to lead growth, change, and operational transformation, • Experience managing KPIs (block utilization, turnover time, etc.), • Hands-on, visible leadership style, • Ability to balance clinical quality, efficiency, and physician relationships Team Structure • Oversees approximately 47 FTEs, • Direct reports include charge nurses and perioperative leaders, • Responsible for workforce stabilization and reducing premium labor usage Operational Environment • Expanding OR utilization from 4 to 6 rooms, • Increasing daily surgical volume from ~6–10 to 20–30 cases, • Transitioning to extended operating hours beyond traditional schedules What Success Looks Like • Full utilization of all 6 ORs, • Increased surgical case volumes, • Improved surgeon satisfaction, • Strong perioperative KPI performance, • Reduced turnover and reliance on travel staff, • Scalable and efficient surgical operations
