This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes. NYC Joint and Spine Center is hiring for a Preoperative/Postoperative Registered Nurse. You will work with a dynamic team of premier professional surgeons and staff specializing in Orthopedic, Joint and Spine surgery. OVERVIEW: Provides planned, skilled nursing care for patients in the critical preoperative and postoperative periods. Provides continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications that may arise in any preoperative or postoperative patient. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. COMPETENCIES - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college and technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in postoperative or critical care area preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Nursing License, • BLS, • ACLS Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
