Job DescriptionDescription:Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem)Ramsey, NJ About the Position: The Psych-NP will provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment (medication management) for clients with Substance Use Disorder and Co-occurring Disorder(s). The Psych-NP will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, attend clinical meetings, and see clients individually as determined by their clinical need, and as assigned by the Program Director/Manager or Medical Director. He/she will prescribe indicated medications for assigned clients in Outpatient Treatment and will assume responsibility for assuring adequate supplies of prescribed medications and refills. The Psych-NP will assess each client for MAT and will prescribe/manage MAT prescriptions and administer injections, as appropriate. Schedule: One day per week. Your Role: • Provides Psychiatric Evaluation and ongoing Medication Management to clients in Outpatient Service locations as needed and as assigned, • Ensures compliance with applicable State and Federal Regulations regarding prescribing of control and non-control medications, • Completes Mental Status Examinations, Safety Assessments, and assesses/documents client's appropriateness for Level of Care at initial visit and at each subsequent visit, • Participates in clinical meetings, and practices as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, • Assesses each client for Medication Assisted Treatment, orders MAT medications as appropriate, and administers Vivitrol and Sublocade injections when needed, • Prescribes psychotropic medications and administers injectable psychotropic medications when needed, • Provides timely documentation in clients' Electronic Medical Record, consistent with established criteria for UR and billing purposes, • Maintains current New Jersey RN license, APRN license, DEA registration, and CPR certification, • Psychiatric APRN training and certification, • Graduate from accredited Psychiatric APRN program, • Experienced in addiction nursing and trained in treating psychiatric/co-occurring disorders, • Licensed in New Jersey state as RN and APRN, • Maintains DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances, • Holds and maintains valid professional liability insurance The base rate of pay for this position is $80.00 to $100.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
