Enjoy Memphis' music scene, historic landmarks, and welcoming community while advancing your travel nursing career. \n\nJob Details\n\n • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890\n, • Location: Memphis, TN (38104) — Tennessee nursing jobs / Memphis healthcare\n, • Setting: Short Term Acute Care – Level I Trauma Center\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)\n, • Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)\n, • Unit: 6 NORTH – Med/Surg Telemetry with oncology overflow\n, • Patient Ratio: Team nursing; typically 1:12 split between 2 RNs, LPNs, Med Nurse\n\n\nQualifications / Job Requirements\n\n, • Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (3+ years preferred)\n, • Prior travel nursing assignment completed (travel nurse experience preferred)\n, • Med Surg Oncology experience required (oncology nursing, chemo administration experience)\n, • Level I Trauma and large hospital experience required\n, • Active RN license in Tennessee or compact nurse license (NLC compliant)\n, • BLS and NIHSS certifications required\n, • Clinical skills: chemo administration (ONS nurses only), conscious sedation, IV starts, PCA pump use\n, • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n, • Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility\n, • Cerner electronic charting experience preferred\n, • All requested time off must be submitted with application; pending licenses not accepted\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 45-bed Med/Surg Tele unit with oncology overflow\n, • Monitor telemetry and manage complex medical-surgical patients, including post-op and trauma cases\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: PT, RT, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Case Management\n, • Manage central lines (PICC, midlines, PAC), wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foley catheters\n, • Administer medications including chemo (ONS-certified staff only) and utilize PCA pumps\n, • Perform IV starts, conscious sedation support, and other unit-specific procedures\n, • Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed; participate in team nursing\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #472789.
