Job Description ModCorr offers rapid, efficient delivery and setup of minimum to maximum security correctional facilities and specialty units. All products are constructed offsite in a controlled environment and conform to the same building codes as traditional construction. ModCorr’s safe, secure and high-quality units comply with all American Correctional Association (ACA) and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Position Summary The QA/QC Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all prefabrication processes and products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure they meet blueprints, technical specifications, and client requirements. The QA/QC Inspector supports continuous improvement efforts, identifies non-conformances, and collaborates with production teams to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance with industry standards, including ISO requirements. This position reports directly to the Director of QA/QC (or designated supervisor) and works closely with production, engineering, and project teams. Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Testing • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products., • Verify conformity to specifications, blueprints, and industry standards., • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection instruments.Documentation & Reporting, • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including logs of non-conformances., • Prepare and distribute inspection reports to supervisors, engineers, and management., • Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders.Quality System Compliance, • Ensure adherence to ISO standards, company quality policies, and customer requirements., • Participate in internal and external quality audits., • Support the enforcement of quality procedures throughout fabrication and assembly processes.Problem Solving & Corrective Action, • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to determine root causes of defects., • Recommend and support corrective actions to eliminate quality issues., • Provide feedback to help improve manufacturing and inspection processes.Continuous Improvement, • Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control procedures., • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.Knowledge and Skills Required, • High school diploma or GED required. Additional certifications or training in quality control or inspection preferred., • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a fabrication or manufacturing environment. • Experience with metal fabrication processes and tolerances preferred. • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations., • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)., • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal., • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel., • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards preferred.
