THE ROLE The Logistics Sales Associate is a salary exempt position, designed for a sales and transportation professional who understands that in bulk logistics, success is defined by safety, compliance, and relentless visibility. Reporting directly to the Director of Logistics, you will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-office collaboration with remote execution while selling outside the office. You will manage the full lifecycle of high-stakes shipments, ensuring that all movements adhere to DOT regulations while providing real-time data to our clients. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Sales • Secure sales meetings through cold calling, lead-generation campaigns and in-person meetings, • Manage the sales cycle from opening to closing to fulfillment, • Effectively present the value of Holloway’s logistics services to prospective clients, • Partner with the company’s management team on how to create customized plans to support sales cycles and drive urgency, • Become skilled at collecting market intelligence on companies, leads, and qualified customers, • Learn about best practices for the Logistics and Transportation industries, • Learn and use CRM platform, • Set up and complete 20 in-person meetings per week with potential clients, • Hit quarterly results and reap direct rewards for accomplishing goals, • Verify driver availability and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance prior to dispatch to ensure legal and on-time transit, • Confirm accurate assignment of driver, truck, trailer, and load details within the Transportation Management System (TMS) before movement begins, • Confirm arrival at origin facilities and verify trailer prior content to ensure equipment integrity, • Log arrival, loading, and departure timestamps in the TMS to support detention tracking and facility performance reporting, • Conduct daily in-transit check-ins and maintain TMS data integrity by updating ETAs to support automated customer alerts, • Confirm successful delivery and ensure all required documentation, including signed Bills of Lading and weight tickets, are uploaded promptly to initiate billing, • Work closely with dispatchers and planners to align capacity with customer demand., • Provide real-time “ground-floor” execution data to Account Managers to support informed customer conversations, • Share insights related to carrier performance, lane challenges, and service trends to support continuous improvement Requirements: ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 1–3 years of transportation, logistics, or 3PL experience and/or 1-3 years of sales experience Proven understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and DOT compliance Strong aptitude for TMS and CRM platforms, with the ability to manage high-volume data entry accurately Ability to thrive in a competitive, performance-driven environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND REQUIREMENTS Safety - the mechanic must know the hazards of the job and be trained in safety precautions of the trade. Must be able to communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting Environmental conditions - will be required to work in all kinds of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold Able to climb a minimum of 2 story of stairs Able to use hand tools in various positions and angles in a thrusting manner Able to work in the normal aspects of the waste facility, i.e., dusty, odorous environment Work outside year-round in the different weather conditions and temperatures Ability to work during night-time hours The person must be self-motivated and safety conscious Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and participate in E-Verify.
