Job Description HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN Location: Fairfield County, CT & parts of Westchester County, NY Company: New England Total Energy $35 - $50 per hour New England Total Energy is a family-owned company with over 85 years of experience providing top-quality service and products to our clients. We proudly serve Fairfield County and parts of Westchester County, offering expert service for Air Conditioning, Oil, Propane, Natural Gas, — and now, our new HVAC division! Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing oil, propane, and natural gas heating systems, as well as ventilation and air conditioning systems. You should be capable of diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC systems efficiently and professionally. Preferred Qualifications • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices, • 2+ years of experience servicing and repairing Air Conditioning, oil, propane, and Natural gas, • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC trade school certification preferred, • Valid driver’s license and applicable trade certifications, • Ability to write routine service reports and correspondence, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Proficiency with industry tools (electrical meter, efficiency tester, refrigeration gauges, recovery machine, manometer, etc.), • Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, • Perform seasonal system maintenance and troubleshooting, • Conduct general repairs on steam and hot water heating systems, • Diagnose and repair airflow and ducting issues, • Install HVAC equipment as needed, • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by providing honest, effective solutions, • Complete job reports and service tickets promptly and accurately, • Attend service meetings, training seminars, and company events, • Maintain a clean and organized job site and service vehicle, • Participate in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays, • Competitive pay, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) plan up to 5% contribution, • Training and career growth opportunities, • Company-provided uniforms (shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, pants, shorts), • Paid time off, including:, • 8 paid holidays, • Date of hire – 2nd year: 11 days, • 3rd – 10th year: 16 days, • 11th – 14th year: 21 days
