Job Description Vehicle Patrol Officer Join our team as a Security Guard - Vehicle Patrol and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of a multi-building apartment complex. You will be on the move (walking/driving) more than sitting. You should also be comfortable with overnight, outdoor, and all‐weather work. This job is for someone who is self‐driven, mobile, and structured, who understands that their job is to move, observe, document, and be seen all night Schedule: Coverage is required from 8:30 PM to 4:30 AM, seven days a week Duties & Responsibilities: • Drive & walk to multiple checkpoints at least 3× per shift (clubhouse, courts, all parking lots, walkways between buildings, maintenance area, etc.)., • Maintain a visible, moving presence in a marked patrol vehicle and on foot., • Perform parking enforcement and initiate tow process correctly, including calls to police and towing company (per Philadelphia requirements)., • Handle noise complaints, resident escorts, and basic customer service., • Complete detailed written reports every shift by the required deadline (patrol checkpoints, incidents, maintenance issues, parking details, caller info). Skills: • Strong observational and problem-solving abilities., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Ability to write detailed reports, • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure. Physical Requirements: • Capability to operate a vehicle for extended periods of time., • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking and standing during patrols. Basic Qualifications: • Prior residential/commercial patrol, campus security, housing authority, or similar., • Experience in jobs requiring rounds and checklists (maintenance, facilities, inspections, etc.), • Customer-facing experience where you have had to enforce rules (hotel security, loss prevention, transit security)., • Comfort with structure., • Ability to follow post orders., • Experience completing activity reports and incident reports, • Valid driver’s license with no infractions in past 5 years; confident driving at night in a marked vehicle., • Basic tech literacy for using a smartphone or device for checkpoints and reports., • Clear written communication in English., • Passes criminal background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and mandatory drug screen Pay: $18.00 per hour Location: Philadelphia, PA 19128 Benefits: • Paid Mandatory Training, • Paid Time Off, • Employee Recognition Program, • 401K eligibility after six months of employment To ensure Cardinal Point's commitment to a drug-free workplace, employees may be subject to random drug tests Cardinal Point Security Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer Company DescriptionCardinal Point Security Group is committed to a focus on comprehensive safety.
