Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform / SharePoint Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise modernization solutions for Federal Government clients. This role combines hands-on development, solution architecture, technical leadership, and client engagement. The ideal candidate can architect scalable Power Platform and SharePoint solutions while working directly with Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Pages, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, and custom pro-code extensions. You will modernize legacy applications and SharePoint environments, lead integrations, establish ALM and DevSecOps practices, and guide solutions through the full delivery lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture • Design end-to-end solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Azure, • Define application, data, content, integration, security, information architecture, and deployment models, • Produce technical designs, architecture diagrams, implementation roadmaps, and requirements, • Evaluate low-code and pro-code approaches for scalability, security, maintainability, and complexity, • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction to delivery teams Power Platform & SharePoint Development • Build enterprise Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, and SharePoint Online solutions, • Develop modern SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, navigation, permissions, and collaboration solutions, • Build custom SharePoint solutions using SPFx, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Microsoft Graph, and SharePoint REST APIs, • Develop reusable SPFx web parts, extensions, PCF controls, and custom components, • Configure Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, process flows, security roles, and environment variables, • Develop application logic using Power Fx, JavaScript, TypeScript, Liquid, and C#/.NET, • Integrate Power Apps and Power Automate with SharePoint lists, libraries, documents, and metadata Automation & Integration • Build production workflows using Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps, • Automate SharePoint document, approval, records, notification, and business processes, • Design and consume REST APIs and custom Power Platform connectors, • Integrate Power Platform and SharePoint with Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SQL Server, Salesforce, ERP/CRM systems, Azure services, and agency systems, • Develop Azure Functions and custom integration services, • Use Microsoft Graph and SharePoint APIs for Microsoft 365 integrations, • Implement OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and service principals Data & Dataverse Architecture • Design scalable, normalized Dataverse data models, • Configure relationships, security roles, field-level security, auditing, and business rules, • Develop Dataverse plug-ins, custom APIs, and workflow extensions using C#/.NET, • Design data architectures spanning Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and other enterprise systems, • Lead migrations from SharePoint, Excel, SQL Server, file shares, and on-premises systems, • Ensure data solutions support governance, security, records management, performance, and reporting SharePoint & Legacy Modernization • Modernize legacy SharePoint applications, sites, workflows, and customizations to SharePoint Online and Power Platform, • Migrate InfoPath forms and SharePoint Designer workflows to Power Apps and Power Automate, • Modernize classic SharePoint sites and customizations, • Plan and execute content, document, metadata, and permissions migrations, • Design SharePoint information architectures, hub sites, metadata models, and governance, • Modernize spreadsheets, Access databases, custom .NET applications, and on-premises SharePoint solutions, • Define migration, refactoring, and re-platforming strategies that minimize operational risk Security & Compliance • Design solutions aligned with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, Section 508, and agency requirements, • Implement least-privilege access across SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure, • Design SharePoint permissions, sharing, retention, and information protection, • Configure Entra ID integrations, app registrations, service principals, RBAC, and conditional access, • Support ATO documentation, security assessments, and remediation, • Establish DLP policies, SharePoint governance, connector governance, environment controls, and Power Platform CoE practices DevOps & ALM • Manage Power Platform ALM across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production, • Implement CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Power Platform Build Tools, and Power Platform CLI, • Maintain source control and deployment processes for Power Platform, SPFx, custom code, and configuration, • Automate solution packaging, deployment, and environment configuration, • Establish branching, release, and deployment standards, • Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards Reporting & Analytics • Design Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models, • Develop DAX, Power Query, row-level security, and governed workspaces, • Integrate Power BI with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure, and enterprise data sources, • Advise clients on gateways, refresh strategies, security, and report lifecycle management Technical Leadership & Client Engagement • Serve as technical lead across Agile delivery teams, • Mentor developers and conduct code and design reviews, • Lead requirements workshops, architecture sessions, demos, sprint reviews, and technical briefings, • Communicate architecture decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical teams and government stakeholders, • Contribute to proposals, SOWs, PWSs, RFQs, RFPs, and solution estimates Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
