Job Summary The Field Quality Engineer is responsible for providing quality support during design, procurement, manufacturing, and test activities on Stellar Energy projects. The major objective of the position is to assist in the management of day-to-day quality activities to ensure the Stellar Energy fabricated modules meet client quality requirements. Essential Functions • Establish field services inspection program with appropriate procedures and forms or review and comment on contractors proposed procedure., • Support key client’s data extraction from ACC software to drive focused impactful interventions at sites and also by XFN team members in the supplying factories and offices., • Perform inspections on activities and material. Coordinate inspections by other parties. Provide third party review of destructive/non-destructive test results and data., • Assist in the supplier evaluation and selection for field process., • Witness or provide for the witnessing testing of systems and equipment including tolerance checks or other inspections as specified in the quality control inspection procedures., • Review quality specifications for project and proposal., • Verify site contractor performing all fabrication, assembly, welding to approved client requirements, and applicable code and acceptance criteria., • Initiates nonconformance reports. Shall ensure all nonconforming material is quarantined or segregated and either reworked, repaired, accepted “as is,” or scrapped based on Nonconformance Report dispositions., • Project a positive and professional image of SEA to the client through structured communications and messaging during meetings/comm’s., • Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits., • Coordinate internal auditing activities., • Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) with team members. Key Responsibilities • Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, framing and strand poles, transferring facilities between poles, placing Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and trailers., • Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures., • Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew., • Supports specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects., • Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures., • Reviews, resolves, and follows up on customer requests and complaints., • Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives., • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary., • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff performing similar tasks., • Sets priorities for the team, assigns tasks, and checks work at regular intervals., • Ensures all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, local, state, or federal standards and regulations., • Updates the JT or Polaris entry (job docs/maps) QC for path verification., • Acts as the primary contractor interface in the field and as the NGAN liaison with regional network technicians., • Ensures new or upgraded power supplies are in place and operational prior to cut date., • Maintains overall responsibility for the quality of the NGAN product, from construction to handoff., • Expected to spend approximately 90% of time in the field.Required Skills, • Experience in overhead and underground construction activities, • Strong safety compliance knowledge and practices, • Ability to supervise and coordinate construction crews, • Record-keeping and reporting skills, • Excellent communication and customer service skills, • Ability to work in the field 80% of the time, • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime, • Knowledge of project management and safety standards, • Ability to set priorities and manage team tasks, • Familiarity with contractor interface and liaison duties, • Proficiency with project documentation tools such as JT or PolarisPreferred Skills, • Experience with Connectivity & Platforms installation, • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project issues, • Experience with NGAN or similar network infrastructure, • Strong leadership and team management skills#ZR #INDGEN
