The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Our Part-time Home Infusion RN provides direct care to clients in their home. They instruct and supervise the client and/or significant other in the safe administration of the appropriate therapy. They instruct in the safe storage and disposal of supplies, potential side effects, etc., and supervise as well as evaluate during the course of therapy. They start, restart, and maintain IV access devices, as required. The successful person will remain familiar with the operation and maintenance of all pumps, supplies and access devices. Qualifications: Required: • Current licensure by the New Jersey Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse., • Completion of an IV certification course required., • Previous home infusion experience required., • Successful completion of all orientation programs., • Ability to lift patients and equipment., • Part-Time employment of 22 hours per week., • 8 Hour shifts 3 days a week (Must be available for a Monday or Friday shift), • Work is performed in private homes., • Potential exposure to biomedical/hazardous waste; potential for puncture wounds. Exposure to all climates., • Participates in on-call coverage 2 days per month, which includes 1 weekend every 2 months., • All patient related departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel and medical staff., • Always calls the patient the night before to schedule a visit., • Will notify patient if running late or will not meet the agreed upon time set., • Arranges with the pharmacy for needed supplies, including medications as well as pick-up of sharps containers., • Arrives to work on time., • Attends ongoing continuing education presentations to keep current with certifications and up to date on home infusion therapies., • Communicates in a timely manner with Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor to ensure continuity of care every day., • Leaves report daily., • Communicates with physicians to report client's response to therapy, clarification, and updating orders., • Completes UOR s when appropriate., • Completes time sheets and expense vouchers within appropriate time frames., • Conducts initial assessment, evaluation/teaching, completing all necessary documentation and returning it to the office within one week of visit., • Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the administration of the prescribed therapy, side effects of the medication, potential complications of access device and use of equipment., • Follows current guidelines for infection control and waste disposal recommended by the CDC as verified through infection control logs., • Follows policy and procedures., • Maintains vehicle safety while engaging the use of cell phone, eg: using hand free device, and obeys all local ordinances., • Obtains physician orders for discontinuing home infusion therapy if appropriate or required and generates the order in the chart., • Recognizes those inappropriately assigned to home infusion therapy, and notifies appropriate persons so alternative care can be provided., • Remains knowledgeable regarding the action, side effects, adverse reactions and precautions relating to procedures and therapies administered., • Reports to Nurse Manager any conditions not conducive of optimal patient care., • Reviews Bill of Rights, gets consents signed, does fall assessment, reviews patient meds and completes profile with all patients., • Schedules initial visit to coincide with the first scheduled home dose to be administered in the home setting and checks appropriate patient identifiers., • Understands and adheres to the company policy and requirements., • Willing to be cross trainrk or assist in other areas., • Helps co-workers when appropriate., • Willingness and flexible to work alternating work schedules on short notice. Responsibilities: About the Role During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member’s current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. Responsible for providing respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, under supervision of physician. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Evaluates prescription, measures arterial blood gases, and checks patient information to assess patient condition and determine requirements for treatment, such as type and duration of therapy, and medication and dosages., 2. Renders aerosol medications and treatments to patients for inhalation, and positions patients to assist in breathing and prevent lung obstruction., 3. Sets up and operates devices, such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators to support respiration and maintain patient's oxygen supply., 5. Given the high visibility of this initiative, we are seeking the highest caliber health care professionals in key clinical services to staff our Outposted Therapeutic Housing Units (OTxHU). To be located in three NYC Health + Hospital acute care facilities, the OTxHU is a pioneering approach to safely increasing access to high quality clinical care for patients in custody who have complicated health conditions. OTxHUs will bridge the gap in the continuum between care provided in the jails and inpatient hospitalization, with admission to and discharge from the OTxHU in accordance with a patient’s clinical needs. CHS will be the primary health care providers on these units and the NYC Department of Correction will provide security and custody management. The OTxHU at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in Manhattan will be the first of this unique, groundbreaking project to open with a planned completion date as early as the end of 2024. Under general supervision of the Medical Director, the Senior Psychiatrist is the psychiatric leader of the facility or program and works in close collaboration with other discipline leadership to ensure that safe, holistic, and evidence-based psychiatric care is provided to incarcerated patients with varying levels of mental health needs. A team-based approach to care is critical; one that incorporates all relevant mental health and medical disciplines as well as security staff. A major component of this position will be training, recruiting and retaining high quality staff and providing strong clinical support and oversight, leadership and mentorship for existing staff. Responsibilities • Develops workflows, policies and quality metrics for their dedicated area in close coordination with the Medical Director and Chief of Mental Health, • Recruits, hires and trains staff to provide care in their dedicated area, • Ensure the highest possible quality of mental health care both in the facility and in collaboration with the other jail facilities in the system. This includes active participation in quality improvement, staff and patient safety initiatives, treatment supervision, and personnel mentorship and management., • In coordination with other leadership: design, implementation, ongoing review, and monitoring of relevant clinical facility-specific procedures, policies and operating manuals, • Direct clinical individual and group supervision of the relevant psychiatric prescribing staff, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants. This supervision must include both in vivo reviews of clinical skills as well as chart review., • Close collaboration, including regularly scheduled meetings, with other relevant disciplines within the mental health, medical, nursing and operations departments, as well as the Department of Correction, • Ensure that medication renewals are completed in a timely manner, • Ensure that the standard of care is being met or exceeded in all patient care, • Educate clinical staff about new developments regarding best practices in all aspects of psychiatric care, with specific attention to the challenges and issues facing a jail setting (e.g., influence of legal case, dual loyalty, medication diversion), • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, • In collaboration with other leadership, oversee the orientation of new staff to the facility or program, • Conduct regular multi-disciplinary case conferences and/or other educational programming, • Report on an as-needed basis to the CHS Morbidity and Mortality review committee, • Work in collaboration with other mental health leadership to manage clinical schedules, vacation requests, CME activities and other relevant activities as they pertain to psychiatric staffing and education, • Participate in policy revision and creation, and practice guideline creations, related to psychiatric care, including input into the psychiatric medication formulary, • Lead interdisciplinary mental health staff meetings in coordination with local MH leadership., • Personnel management of clinical staff, including setting quality standards, establishing effective recruitment and retention strategies, and managing workforce complaints, • Administrative tasks, including coordinating scheduling and assignment of patient care appointments, scheduling of staff, and management of referrals to mental health service, • Direct clinical care, amount determined by facility needs, which may include direct supervision of psychiatric trainees., • On-call responsibilities for 2 weeks at a time, one to two times/year, for off-hours issues that require high level clinical intervention, • Other duties at the discretion of the Medical Director of Mental Health or the Chief of Service., • Personnel management of the clinical staff, with assistance from the Clinical and/or Medical Directors as needed, including recruiting, mentorship, supervision, and disciplinary procedures, • Meet regularly with assigned supervisor to provide meaningful input into program design and policy formation Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have all of the following: 1. Graduation from a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association. 2. Completion of an acceptable internship in an approved hospital., 3. A license to practice medicine in the State of New York., 4. Certification by American Board in field of specialization or a faculty appointment of Associate Professor or higher in a medical school recognized by the American Medical Association., 5. Eight (8) years of satisfactory full-time paid experience in field of specialization including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.(Training and experience required for certification will be credited toward required specialized experience.) The Director of Molecular Diagnostics serves as the CLIA Laboratory Director for NYGC's clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory. This role provides clinical and scientific leadership for a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory performing next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based genetic and oncology testing. Job Description YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPACT Broome Street Academy Charter High School (BSA) is seeking to hire a Head of School beginning in July 2026. BSA serves NYC students who are the most at risk and face significant barriers to graduation. By design, 50% of the seats for upcoming 9th graders are set aside for students who are homeless, in foster care, or have otherwise had experience with the child welfare system. Given the extensive needs of BSA’s students, the model – which is unique among New York City charter schools – goes above and beyond the classroom through a formalized partnership with The Door, one of the country’s premier youth development organizations. BSA is housed within The Door so that students have facilitated and consistent access to The Door’s complete range of programming on site including: reproductive and primary healthcare and education, mental health counseling and crisis assistance, legal advice and representation, tutoring and homework help, college preparation services, job training and placement, supportive housing, sports and recreational activities, arts, and nutritious meals – all for free, completely confidential, and under one roof. ACADEMICS & LEARNING BSA’s model merges a rigorous academic curriculum with comprehensive social and learning support to prepare students for a successful future beyond high school. BSA’s academic model was designed in recognition that some of our students require extra support to reach the same academic milestones and post-secondary pathways as their peers. We intentionally maintain small class sizes and offer integrated co-teaching in most classes to provide additional academic support for students. The student-centered approach includes a continuum of academic support as well as opportunities for more rigorous learning to ensure that each student is being challenged to their full potential. GOVERNANCE The Head of School will report to BSA’s CEO and Board of Trustees. The Board and CEO establish policy for BSA in accordance with its by-laws and consistent with the terms of its charter. The Board meets twelve times per year, once each month. The Head of School will be expected to attend Board meetings and most Board committee meetings as well. The Charter School Institute of the State University of New York serves as BSA’s authorizer. THE POSITION The Head of School will administer the 9th-12th grade curriculum and will be responsible for promoting the mission of the school as well as overseeing the daily operations in partnership with staff. They will be responsible for oversight and development of all academic programs and curricula; the faculty and staff hiring; professional development, compensation, and all other personnel matters; and student recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and discipline. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have prior experience in school leadership – as a head of school, principal, or division head at a charter, traditional public, or independent school – and teaching experience. The Head of School should possess a strong understanding of the use of academic data to inform and improve student outcomes and an awareness of developments in the broad worlds of education and pedagogy. An ideal candidate will also have a track record of achieving significant school improvement and in working with and leading student and community populations similar to that of BSA. Job Description Background The Culinary Education Center (CEC) in New York is looking for an Executive Director. Along with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for creating and guiding the organization by helping to develop its mission, strategic goals, and all operational structures. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing programming and for stewarding external relationships. The Culinary Education Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and labor-management partnership between high-wage food service employers and UNITE HERE Local 100, the union for food service and restaurant workers in the New York/New Jersey area. As a Taft-Hartley Fund, this training center was created to train and upskill food service workers, enabling them to enter good union jobs in the industry and advance in their careers. Our curriculum, designed in collaboration with employers, will support employer efforts to create career pathways, thereby contributing to worker retention. Most of the people we will serve are people of color/immigrants and members of marginalized communities. Our objective is to 1.) train new workers and help place them in good union jobs with employer partners and 2.) provide ongoing training to incumbent workers to support their career advancement. Position Summary The Executive Director will collaborate with the Board of Directors to set the strategic vision for the growth and sustainability of this training center. They will oversee the implementation of this vision by managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. They will oversee the administration of culinary training programs for entry-level and incumbent workers for the food-service industry in New York/New Jersey. The Education portfolio offers students around the globe the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with scientists in addressing real-world problems and includes: • STEM City: Local mentoring and teaching programs in the NYC region, both during and after the class day., • Virtual Programs: Global innovation challenges delivered via a digital platform., • Mindfully develop and grow a high-impact portfolio of education programs that serve Pre K–12 students, higher education learners, and STEM professionals., • Work closely with CEO and CBFO, other Academy leadership, internal stakeholders, and the Board to define and execute education strategy, including setting financial and programmatic goals and establishing and tracking key performance metrics related to educational reach, engagement, learning outcomes, and funder satisfaction., • Lead, mentor, and manage the Education team to ensure performance, collaboration, and alignment with organizational priorities., • Ensure all programs are grounded in sound pedagogy; respond to market and funder developments, such as the emergence of AI; and meet rigorous quality standards., • Collaborate with fundraising and business development teams to develop proposals with the goal of securing funding. Participate in the identification and cultivation of funding sources in close partnership with teams and leaders across the Academy. Ensure funder outcomes as described are met and program goals are accomplished., • Take ownership of departmental profit and loss statement, aligning resource allocation with strategic priorities., • Have a thorough understanding of the STEM education landscape, including current trends, and represent the Academy externally, serving as a visible thought leader in the field, particularly in education technology, education policy, and AI., • Monitor trends in education research, technology, and policy to inform program innovation and continuous improvement., • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the Academy’s programs, commercialize educational assets, and build strategic partnerships with both funders and other organizations., • Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration to integrate education initiatives with other Academy programs, as appropriate., • Promote and protect the Academy’s brand and reputation through high-quality programming and strong stakeholder engagement., • Represent the Academy at external events, conferences, and media engagements related to education and adjacent fields such as workforce development. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred., • 15+ years of experience in education, including 5+ years in a senior management role; experience in pertinent areas such as STEM, nonprofit, ed tech, workforce development, or global education initiatives strongly preferred., • Proven ability to secure funding for and scale high-impact education programs while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness., • Experience working with the New York City Department of Education and Department of Youth and Community Development preferred., • Strong knowledge of STEM education in New York, nationally, and globally., • Experience setting strategy, developing educational programs/products, and leading implementation., • Skill in managing teams, contractors, and cross-functional initiatives., • Demonstrated success building partnerships with schools, universities, and community organizations and facilitating cross-sector partnerships (academia, industry, government, philanthropy)., • Excellent project management, communication, personnel management, and stakeholder engagement skills., • Strong desire to grow programs and the ability to both set and realize strategic direction. The Academy offers a flexible hybrid work model, which includes a combination of in-office and remote work. Specific in-office days are determined in coordination with the team and leadership. Flexibility is offered where possible, but regular in-person collaboration is required to support team effectiveness and project goals. This role requires up to 10% travel, which may include both domestic and international destinations. Travel is typically scheduled in advance and may be required for meetings, conferences, training, or project support. This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and video conferencing technology. Employees are regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, communicate effectively, and occasional walking, bending, or lifting of light items (up to 10 pounds) may be required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000 annually. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The stated salary range reflects the expected compensation for this role based on the Academy’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Final salary will be determined at the time of hire and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
