Job DescriptionSalary: $5400 fixed summer compensation Amazing Downtown Summer Camp is looking to hire high-level leaders to manage our camp divisions. As a Division Leader, you are the bridge between camp counselors and our families. This role is designed for those looking to master people management, conflict resolution, performance coaching, and professional communication. You get skills transferable to any industry in your future career path, including team leadership, administrative oversight, crisis management, and stakeholder relations. Division Leaders are mentors and role models for both staff and campers. They bring the fun and energy to camp each and every day, while also taking the time to ensure the safety of all campers. As a direct supervisor, you are responsible for the growth and performance of your counselor team and serve as the primary point of contact for our camp parents. Key Responsibilities: • Lead Your Team: Assist in the training of your counselors and lead weekly staff meetings to ensure team alignment., • Develop Talent: Provide daily feedback and conduct formal performance reviews to help your staff grow professionally., • Parent Relations: Act as the primary contact for parents, providing updates and handling inquiries with professionalism., • Operational Oversight: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that your division's daily schedule runs smoothly., • Be a Role Model: Maintain a high level of energy and professionalism, setting the standard for counselors and campers alike., • Have FUN: Lead by example and participate in the camp-wide culture of fun and growth. Qualifications: • Age: 21+ years of age., • Experience: Previous experience in a summer camp, after-school setting, or working with children in groups is required., • Certifications: Must be CPR and First Aid certified. If your certifications are currently expired or you do not have them yet, we can assist you in obtaining them before the start of camp., • Leadership: Experience supervising staff or leading teams is highly preferred., • Commitment: Must be able to commit to work June 29 August 21 and attend required staff orientation June 19 - 12:00-7:00 PM, June 21- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, June 28- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (plus one virtual half-day TBD). Compensation & Contract Details: Our camp staff are employed on a contractual basis for the brief, eight-week summer season. Due to the contractual nature of their employment, their compensation is structured as a fixed sum for the entire camp season rather than an hourly wage. This total compensation is divided into four bi-weekly paychecks. • Contract Total: Compensation starts at $5,400 for the full summer.
