The Department of Surgery, Division of Burn Surgery, at the University of California, Davis seeks to recruit a full-time, academic burn surgeon focusing on burn care. The Division of Burn Surgery at the UC Davis Medical Center is a nationally recognized and verified program that offers singular care for adult patients with burn injuries. We provide comprehensive services for the critical care, medical, surgical, and reconstructive treatment of patients with burn injuries and burn related diseases. The Division of Burn Surgery educates trainees as part of its integrated burn residency and fellowship programs. The candidate should have a strong interest and expertise in burn and burn reconstructive surgery, burn rehabilitation, critical care, acute wound coverage, nutrition and metabolic management, and scar management. The candidate ideally will have demonstrated clinical teaching and basic science or clinical research skills, with potential to write grants and build strong local and international community relationships. The selected individual will be expected to participate in clinical care, program development, teaching, research, and university service depending on academic series. Full-time, 12-month positions at the instructor rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) Series are available at UC Davis Health, which is located on a modern, 140-acre campus in Sacramento, California. Successful candidates will be board certified/eligible and have successfully completed a fellowship in both pediatric orthopedic surgery and spinal surgery. As a tertiary and quaternary referral center for domestic and international patients with complex Pediatric Spine Deformity, the candidate should have experience and interest in the treatment of Congenital Deformities which require resection or osteotomy, severe and delayed treatment of idiopathic deformities. As a current leader in the treatment of Juvenile Idiopathic Deformities that are amenable to growth modulation, some experience in the use of anterior vertebral body tethering is recommended. Finally, as early onset scoliosis patients are frequently referred to SHNC, treatment of EOS patients with EDF casting is a modality frequently deployed as a re VEPTR and MAGEC devices (Juvenile growth modulation). Currently, SHNC case volume averages 175 major Pediatric Deformities per year. As SHNC has no Emergency Department, call coverage is limited to on call rounding for inpatients and availability for hospitalized inpatients. Academic appointment with the UC Davis affiliate is an option with a small clinical footprint available through the UC Davis Department of Orthopedics. Qualifications • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school, • Must have successfully completed an ACGME accredited orthopedic surgery residency program, • Must have completed relevant fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics AND spinal surgery, • Must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification and eligible for or in possession of Subspecialty Certification (SC) if appropriate, • Must possess or be eligible for California state medical license, • Experience treating pediatric spine patients

Job Description Days 5x8-Hour | 13 weeks At least 1 year in Endo. ERCP experience is a MUST, THE RN WILL BE ABLE TO "TECH" ERCP CASES, NOT JUST SEDATE OR CIRCULATE. WILL DO THE HANDS-ON ASSISTING DURING ERCP PROCEDURES WITH THE PHYSICIAN. Floating: OP surgery center or Pre/post -surgical inpatient area. EMR: Cerner. Certs REQ: RN CA, ACLS, BLS, PALS.
