Job Description Social Workers establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with individuals and their families by effectively utilizing professional social work skills. They may review the individuals psychiatric, medical and other case records and discuss issues with families and other members of the treatment team. Complete admission screening; conduct psychosocial assessments; make treatment recommendations; participate in treatment planning; provide social casework services; provide individual, group, and family therapy; assess availability of services; serve as consumer advocate; develop and implement discharge plans; and coordinate services with community providers. Job Description Summary: Streetwork Project is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth in Harlem, which utilizes a harm reduction approach providing comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale and survival sex). The Youth Services Peer Navigator are young adults (ages 18–30) with lived experience of unaccompanied homelessness during their youth. They provide mentorship, advocacy, and connection to resources for youth and young adults currently navigating the RHY continuum. Youth Services Peer Navigators help build trust, promote youth voice and choice, and walk alongside young people in their journeys. Youth Services Peer Navigators promote long-term stability and act as a connector between youth, staff, community, and service systems. Position Overview Tonix is looking for a full-time Senior Director of Program and Portfolio Management (PPM) to effectively shape and implement PPM strategies decision making for a complex portfolio of drug development programs and execution of decisions. The Senior Director of PPM will be a responsible for implementing portfolio management best practices, drafting strategic and operational plans, mentoring project managers (PM) and operational staff, and supporting effective communications across multiple departments at Tonix. The individual in this position will also be responsible for building out the team of PMs which would report into this role. Job Description THE ORGANIZATION The Center for Justice Innovation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community safety and racial justice. Since 1996, we’ve worked alongside communities, courts, and those most directly affected by the justice system to build stronger, healthier, and more equitable neighborhoods. With a team of over 900 staff and an annual budget of $130 million, the Center carries out its mission through three core strategies: • Operating Programs that pilot new ideas and address local challenges;, • Conducting original research to evaluate what works—and what doesn’t; and THE OPPORTUNITY One of the Center’s demonstration projects is Neighbors in Action, formerly known as the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center. Neighbors in Action is seeking a Violence Interrupter for the Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) Bed-Stuy program. Reporting to the Violence Interrupter Supervisor, the Violence Interrupter will work individually and as a team to prevent neighborhood shootings and killings. They will provide conflict mediation services and serve as conduits to the program’s Outreach Workers who work with program participants on a long-term basis.
