The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive and specialized care to post-operative and post-procedural patients recovering from anesthesia. The Clinical Nurse (RN) integrates evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and the tenets of Relationship Centered Care to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for patients transitioning from surgery to recovery. Licensure: • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in a hospital setting – Required, • Minimum 2 years of total RN experience – Required, • Experience in ventilator and post-procedural care – Required, • EPIC EMR experience – Highly Preferred, • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required, • BLS (AHA) – Required, • ACLS (AHA) – Required, • Unit: PACU (Perioperative Services), • Patient Population: Post-surgical and procedural recovery (adult), • Average Ratio: Based on patient acuity, • Equipment: Ventilators, post-anesthesia monitoring systems, • EMR: EPIC Auto Offer Notice: Response time for acceptance or decline is 2 hours max.
