Job DescriptionWe're looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator to own, support, and continuously improve our client's modern IT infrastructure spanning virtual servers, Microsoft cloud technologies, and core network services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day operational stability with longer-term projects and platform improvements. You'll be a key technical resource responsible for ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and scalable-while also acting as an escalation point for complex issues and a trusted partner to both IT and the broader business. This is a fully onsite position! What You'll Be Doing • Manage and maintain virtualized server environments across Windows and Linux platforms, • Administer on-prem and cloud-based identity systems, including user access, permissions, DNS, MFA, and Group Policy, • Support and optimize collaboration and productivity platforms (email, file sharing, Teams, and intranet sites), • Monitor system health, performance, and security-responding to incidents and preventing future issues, • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies, • Manage firewalls, routing, and core infrastructure services, • Oversee device and endpoint management across laptops, mobile devices, and remote users, • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues through resolution and root-cause analysis, • Partner with external vendors on hardware, software, and infrastructure projects, • Track and manage software and hardware licensing, • Create and maintain clear, usable technical documentation, • Contribute to and lead IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope, • Mentor and support junior IT staff when needed, • Proactively research new tools and technologies to improve reliability, security, and efficiency Must have:, • 3+ years of hands on System Admin experience, • Must be comfortable working fully on site in Modesto, CA., • Strong in either Windows or Linux with exposure in the other.
