Job Description A National Account Manager (NAM) promotes and sells Metal Sales products and services through large National Home Center Accounts - primarily The Home Depot and Lowe’s. As NAM, you will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, increase sales opportunities, and strategically position Metal Sales products with targeted accounts. These efforts position Metal Sales as the metal roofing supplier of choice. A successful NAM is a sales leader with a demonstrated track record of identifying, pitching and closing large accounts requiring multiple touch points within both the selling and purchasing companies. Qualified candidates must have an in-depth understanding of the “retail” distribution of building products at big box stores and be comfortable balancing the needs of the customer while also maintaining Metal Sales production and profitability goals. Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 manufacturing locations across America. The optimal candidate will be based out of the Charlotte or Atlanta area. This position will demand 50% to 75% travel. You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to): • Planning and executing sales and marketing plans in support of current business and developing targeted growth strategies to increase sales revenue., • Developing, updating, maintaining, and executing new National Account plans that includes target account prospects and their sales cycle plans, project revenue, project decision dates, and project implementation/first service dates., • Regularly partnering with internal teams including: Product Management to develop plans for executing sales promotions and training, Marketing to ensure assigned accounts have the required literature, POP, planograms, displays, samples, etc., Procurement and Credit teams., • Recommending and monitoring product mixes at assigned national accounts; reviewing monthly reports and reporting progress to key account and Metal Sales leadership., • Negotiating annual buying agreements and prices increases and communicating results accordingly., • Leading, coaching, mentoring, and motivating Home Center Inside Sales Representative(s) and providing guidance for their daily activities., • Developing KPI’s and coaching, mentoring, and educating internal sales and operations teams as to the specific needs of the assigned national accounts., • Managing Metal Sales’ Home Center online program; ensuring content, images, pricing & product mix are up to date and delivering best in category performance for sales, customer reviews, and web site hits., • At least 5 years’ experience in the building materials industry, preferably in a sales capacity, • Proven experience with all aspects of selling and servicing Home Depot and Lowe’s stores including store operations, merchandising, and corporate sales - all from a corporate level perspective; required, • Successful track record of closing and servicing large multi-location accounts, • Exemplary organizational and time management skills such as managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high growth, and hands on environment along with professional oral and written communication skills, • Ability and desire to travel 50% to 75%, • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM software, • Challenging work environment with a stable privately owned company, • Career growth opportunities, • Competitive base pay with bonus potential, • Comprehensive benefits package including:, • Medical, Dental, and Vision – effective on your first day, • Paid Holidays, • Paid Time Off, • 401K with company match, • Wellness program Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
