Job Description Founded in 1946, Angelus Block is California’s leading producer of concrete masonry units, interlocking concrete pavers, decorative site wall units, and segmental planter wall units. Angelus Block is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to oversee our credit and collections operations. Under the direction of the President, this position will evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish credit terms, manage collection of past-due accounts, and ensure timely payment while supporting our sales growth. This role is critical to balancing risk management with strong customer relationships. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Evaluate new and existing customer creditworthiness., 2. Set and review credit limits and terms for customers., 3. Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and identify high-risk accounts., 4. Manage collection of past-due accounts, negotiating payment plans, and refer cases to collection attorneys as needed., 5. Ensure preliminary notices, mechanics liens and material releases are issued., 6. Monitor and enforce company credit policies and procedures., 7. Train and manage staff. Competencies 1. Strong mathematical, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills, 2. Knowledge of California lien laws and credit risk management, 3. Knowledge of the EDI process with big box resellers such as Home Depot and large-scale B2B accounts., 4. Proficient with ERP systems and Accounts Receivable reporting., 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications., 6. Time Management, 7. Leadership and Teamwork Orientation. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field preferred., 2. 5+ years of credit management experience.
