Job Description Primary Purpose and Function Provides oversight of THIRA’s Residential Treatment Facility’s daily operations, compliance with state licensing and The Joint Commission (TJC) regulations. Ensures appropriate care and supervision is provided for each patient. Will also provide clinical and administrative supervision of RTF staff, including ensuring documentation compliance. Will also provide direct clinical care of patients and their families, including crisis intervention, individual, group and family therapy, and may facilitate special therapeutic services and interventions when needed. Required Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related therapy field, • Washington State Independent License (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist), • Minimum five (5) years experience providing individual, group, and/or family therapy from a behavioral orientation, • Minimum three (3) years experience working in PHP, IOP, or IPU environment, including crisis management experience, • Minimum one (1) year experience supervising and/or managing other staff, • Verified/approved Washington state clinical supervision training and certification; or must meet state requirement through education and experience, • Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues., • Demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office and the ability to use various software, • Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check (Federal and state), • Experience and literacy with Electronic Medical Records systems medical practice software, • Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends & holidays as needed, • Serve as clinical on call on a rotating basis to support weekend and evening staff, • Perform all other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications • Experience in healthcare administration or administrative work within clinical environments, • Successfully pass a comprehensive Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, • Valid WA state driver’s license; successfully pass THIRA’s Driver Assessment Addendum A: Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position RTF PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (50%) • Development of an administrative plan and procedures to define lines of responsibility, workloads and staff supervision, • Oversee quality of all RTF therapy data/note review in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) patient charts; provide feedback to staff as needed to meet regulatory requirements, • Oversee scheduling and coverage of RTF program, inclusive of patient/group caseload, assignments, and staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage; delegate as needed, • Contribute to all necessary or required Residential Program reports, • Partner with Talent Acquisition Team as needed to recruit, interview and select staff, • Manage the development and implementation of all RTF policies, procedures, and workflows in accordance with Washington Department of Health (DOH), TJC, and other accreditation services, • Develop and lead RTF quality-of-care and process improvement initiatives; identify need and research solutions for any mental health therapy team related issues; guide implementation as appropriate, • Review program description and implement changes as needed, • Arrange or oversee special provisions for the care and supervision and safety and guidance of clients with disabilities, • Ensure that staff are trained and understand duties and performance expectations specific to their jobs, • Review all incident reports and medication protocol reports and ensure follow-through to resolution, • Create, update and maintain Staff Training Manual and Plan of Supervision to ensure all staff are given correct documentation on all job duties and responsibilities, • Facilitate RTF program productivity through schedule optimization, program scheduling, and caseload/group management, • Develop, maintain and monitor staff scheduling to ensure established staff to patient ratios are maintained, • Perform routine facility walk-throughs, • Collaborate with referral sources and business development and proactively interact with referral sources during facility tours DIRECT SERVICE (25%) • Support THIRA staff as a provider within a multidisciplinary environment; respond to clinical crises and urgent patient/family concerns in a timely and ethical manner, • Provide individual direct services inclusive of individual, family, and group therapy from a DBT framework to complex, high acuity patients diagnosed with mood, anxiety and other emotion regulation disorders and/or eating disorders based upon business need, • Deliver crisis intervention services inclusive of suicide risk assessment and management, creating safety plans, de-escalating dysregulated patients, and mediating conflicts between patients, • Create, update and implement an individualized behavioral treatment plan for each individual therapy patient, • Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete clinical documentation in a timely manner including but not limited to Treatment Plan, Discharge Plans, Utilization Review Summaries, individual and group therapy notes, risk assessments and safety planning, and other documentation as assigned, • Collaborate with team members and Utilization Review department to prepare comprehensive treatment summaries assessing treatment progress and barriers to discharge, • Provides direct client care services and groups as necessary due to census or special program and/or client considerations CLINICAL SUPERVISION (25%) • Provide clinical and administrative supervision for RTF staff in their role(s), delegate as needed, • Maintain records of clinical and administrative supervision for continuous quality improvement, compliance, and licensure purposes, • Provide formal and informal clinical training, • Demonstrate active listening skills, clearly communicate expectations, and facilitate open dialogue Addendum B: General Responsibilities & Expectations Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions • Support and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and client confidentiality; Equipment includes standard office equipment, i.e., computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, printer, and scanner. Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, bending over, repetitive use of hands, and lifting up to 25lbs. Position requires close contact with all THIRA Health staff and mental health patients. Hours and days can vary within a Saturday through Friday work week. #priority
