Job Description Job Title: Construction Field Support Job Description Install, configure, and calibrate GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment. Perform site localizations, base/rover setups, and field diagnostics. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain system accuracy and uptime. Train operators and site personnel on GPS hardware, software, and machine guidance systems. Conduct routine equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to support customer needs. Document installations, service activities, troubleshooting, and training. Communicate effectively with operators, surveyors, project managers, and engineers. Follow all job-site safety protocols. Responsibilities • Install, configure, and calibrate GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment., • Perform site localizations, base/rover setups, and field diagnostics., • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain system accuracy and uptime., • Train operators and site personnel on GPS hardware, software, and machine guidance systems., • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration., • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to support customer needs., • Document installations, service activities, troubleshooting, and training., • Communicate effectively with operators, surveyors, project managers, and engineers., • Installation, • Mechanical skills, • Troubleshooting, • Multimeter usage, • Electrical skills, • Construction knowledge, • Experience with major GPS machine control or surveying platforms (e.g., Trimble, Topcon, Leica)., • Experience in construction surveying., • Strong understanding of coordinate systems, site calibration, and construction staking concepts., • Ability to independently diagnose electrical, sensor, and communication issues using diagnostic tools. Work Environment This role requires extensive travel, approximately 75% across U.S. construction job sites. Be prepared to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. The position involves 70–80% hands-on, physical field work. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, GA.
