Job Description Statement of Purpose The Mental Health Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical care and supervision of therapeutic services provided at Victory Bay Residential Services located in Tarzana, CA. The Clinical Supervisor provides guidance and leadership to clinical staff, ensures compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and supports client progress through individualized and group treatment interventions. Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities • Provide direct supervision and clinical oversight to therapists., • Review and approve treatment plans, clinical documentation, safety plans, and discharge summaries for quality, compliance, and effectiveness., • Monitor client progress and participate in case conferences, treatment team meetings, and care coordination with residential and medical staff., • Ensure that clinical services are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and aligned with Victory Bay’s values., • Support clinical staff in managing high risk clients, crisis situations, and behavioral interventions, including de-escalation and safety planning., • Develop and lead training sessions for clinical and residential staff on topics such as documentation, ethics, evidence-based practices, and therapeutic interventions., • Participate in audits, incident reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with licensing, HIPAA, and agency standards., • Collaborate with leadership on program development, policies, staffing needs, and clinical strategy., • Maintain a limited caseload providing individual, family, or group therapy., • Demonstrates critical thinking ability and effective communication skills., • Fosters relationship building and approaches change as an opportunity for growth and development in self and others., • Supports a team environment and encourages teamwork and commitment., • Demonstrate conflict resolution and negotiation skills., • Assertive and delegation of duties, • Understands human behavior and the social contexts of health care as well as medical contexts., • Interview and listening skills are essential to maintain open communication and determine patient needs and condition., • Ability to make special arrangements for provisions of services to clients with disabilities including visual and auditory., • Ability to make provisions of the services identified in each client’s individual needs and services plan., • Ability to carry out policies which relate to clients being unable to plan, prepare and service meals., • Manage multiple tasks, solve problems and provide interventions to promote optimum outcomes., • Demonstrate an understanding and ability to access, use and relay information. This includes effective communication and ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in meaningful ways., • Be an example with referents in terms of demonstrating regular communication either by phone/email or both., • Exhibits poise, professionalism and knowledge to make it a safe and hospitable environment., • Attuned to clinical protocol of mind, body and spirit., • EMR compliant, • Present for all management/administrative meetings., • Primarily weekday hours, with flexibility required for clinical emergencies, staff coverage, or program needs., • Assists and covers other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency in the department., • Create Meaningful Connections: Demonstrates ability to function effectively as a part of team. Ability to maintain a positive work ethic and a congenial attitude in the face of a high-pressure environment., • Ability to function independently and with flexibility., • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and interruptions., • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy office supplies; ability to lift supplies for community events, trade shows, conferences, and other marketing opportunities applicable to the organization; ability to lift, push or pull up to 25lbs., • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time., • Must have strong computer skills to meet Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software requirements. Prerequisite Qualifications: Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment. Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age., • Must have a valid California driver license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on Center business. Generally short distances and reimbursement of mileage., • First Aid and CPR certification required and maintain current during employment., • Criminal Background Clearance, • Health Screening, • Master’s Degree from a university with a degree in Psychology, Social Work or any other major which allows the person to be licensed., • Active clinical license in good standing (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent)., • Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a community program that serves clients who have a mental illness. Such experience must be in the direct provision of services to clients., • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, and diagnostic formulation using the DSM-5., • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation standards., • Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
