Job Description The Manager of Technology & Systems Implementation is responsible for leading the planning, deployment, integration, and optimization of all technology systems supporting transportation, warehouse, fleet, and administrative operations. This role serves as the primary owner of system implementations from concept through adoption, ensuring technology solutions are effectively deployed, fully documented, and successfully adopted across the organization. This position plays a critical role in translating operational requirements into technical solutions, managing vendors, coordinating system rollouts, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and producing instructional manuals and training materials for all technology platforms. Key Duties & Responsibilities Technology & Systems Implementation • Lead end-to-end implementation of new and existing systems, including: o Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) o Transportation Management Systems (TMS) o ERP and Accounting Systems o HRIS / Payroll Platforms o Fleet management, GPS, ELD, and telematics systems o Inventory control, barcode scanning, RF, and automation technologies • Coordinate system configuration, testing, data migration, go-live, and post-implementation support., • Ensure system integrations function seamlessly across platforms to support operational workflows., • Develop implementation roadmaps, project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies. Process Documentation & SOP Development • Create, maintain, and standardize SOPs for all technology systems., • Develop clear, user-friendly instructional manuals, job aids, and reference guides for end users., • Maintain version control, documentation standards, and audit-ready records., • Ensure documentation aligns with operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements (DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, CBP, internal controls). Training & Change Management • Design and deliver system training for warehouse staff, drivers, supervisors, and administrative teams., • Support onboarding and ongoing training related to technology tools and systems., • Lead change-management initiatives to promote system adoption and minimize disruption., • Serve as the primary point of contact during system rollouts and major enhancements. Vendor & Stakeholder Management • Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and service providers., • Coordinate vendor-led implementations and ensure deliverables meet business requirements., • Assist with contract reviews, licensing, and service-level agreements (SLAs)., • Act as a liaison between Operations, IT, Finance, HR, and external vendors. System Optimization & Continuous Improvement • Monitor system performance, usage, and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities., • Collaborate with operations leadership to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes., • Support upgrades, enhancements, and system optimization initiatives., • Leverage system data and reporting to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. Compliance, Security & Risk Awareness • Ensure systems are configured to support compliance with operational and regulatory standards., • Support data security, access controls, and audit requirements., • Participate in internal audits and system risk assessments., • Escalate system risks, issues, or compliance concerns as needed. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)., • 5–8+ years of experience in technology systems implementation or IT project management., • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise systems in logistics, warehousing, or transportation environments., • Strong experience developing SOPs, manuals, and training materials., • Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP, or similar enterprise platforms., • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
