American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Jersey City, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 01/26/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Work in the Operating Room of a Level 2 Trauma Center, • Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, • Call required 2 times per schedule, • Handles all OR specialties except open heart cases, • Robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures required, • Uses EPIC for charting, • Scrubs are provided, • Locals are accepted at the same rate, • Responsible for circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical cases including trauma, orthopedics, neuro, and more, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Team-oriented environment at a Level 2 Trauma Center, • Scrub and Circulate skills checklist must be submitted for consideration\n \n Requirements\n, • Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration, • Current BLS certification required, • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience, • Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in the OR, • Experience with robotic and ENT surgeries required, • Previous experience in ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures required, • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred, • Must not have been employed full-time or PRN in the RWJBH health system within the past year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
